The Mission of John the Baptist

Beginning of the glad tidings of Jesus Christ, Son of God;

Благовестие Иисуса Христа, Сына Божьего, начинается

as it is written in [Isaiah] the prophet, Behold, *I* send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way.

словами пророка Исайи: "Смотри! Перед Тобой посылаю Я ангела Моего. Он подготовит Тебе путь".

Voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of [the] Lord, make his paths straight.

"Голос раздаётся в пустыне, восклицая: "Подготовьте путь Господу, проложите Ему прямую тропу".

There came John baptising in the wilderness, and preaching [the] baptism of repentance for remission of sins.

И явился Иоанн, крестя людей в пустыне. Он говорил людям, что они должны креститься, чтобы показать готовность переменить свою жизнь, тогда их грехи будут прощены.

And there went out to him all the district of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem, and were baptised by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

And John was clothed in camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, and ate locusts and wild honey.

And he preached, saying, There comes he that is mightier than I after me, the thong of whose sandals I am not fit to stoop down and unloose.

*I* indeed have baptised you with water, but *he* shall baptise you with [the] Holy Spirit.

Я крестил вас водой, а Он будет крестить вас Духом Святым".

The Baptism of Jesus

And it came to pass in those days [that] Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptised by John at the Jordan.

Случилось в те дни, что пришёл Иисус из города Назарета в Галилее, и Иоанн крестил Его в Иордане.

And straightway going up from the water, he saw the heavens parting asunder, and the Spirit, as a dove, descending upon him.

Когда Иисус выходил из воды, то увидел, что небеса разверзлись и Дух Святой спускается на Него в образе голубя.

And there came a voice out of the heavens: *Thou* art my beloved Son, in thee I have found my delight.

11

И голос с неба провозгласил: "Ты Мой Возлюбленный Сын, в Котором Моё благоволение".

The Temptation of Jesus

And immediately the Spirit drives him out into the wilderness.

И тотчас же Дух повелел Ему идти в пустыню.

And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.

Иисус провёл в пустыне сорок дней, искушаемый сатаной. Он жил среди диких зверей, и ангелы служили Ему.

Jesus Preaches in Galilee

But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom of God,

После того как Иоанна взяли под стражу, Иисус пошёл в Галилею, проповедуя благую весть.

and saying, The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn nigh; repent and believe in the glad tidings.

Он говорил: "Время пришло. Царство Божье близко. Покайтесь и уверуйте в Евангелие".

Jesus Calls His First Disciples

And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew, [Simon's] brother, casting out a net in the sea, for they were fishers.

Когда Иисус проходил мимо Галилейского озера, Он увидел Симона и брата его Андрея, закидывающих сети в озеро, ибо они были рыболовами.

And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men;

17

Иисус сказал им: "Следуйте за Мной, и Я сделаю вас ловцами душ, а не рыб".

and straightway leaving their trawl-nets they followed him.

18

Они тотчас же оставили сети и последовали за Ним.

19

And going on thence a little, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, and these [were] in the ship repairing the trawl-nets;

19

Пройдя немного дальше, Он увидел Иакова, сына Зеведея, и его брата Иоанна. Они были в лодке и чинили сети.

20

and straightway he called them; and leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, they went away after him.

20

Он позвал их, и они, оставив своего отца Зеведея в лодке с работниками, последовали за Ним.

Jesus Expels an Evil Spirit

And they go into Capernaum. And straightway on the sabbath he entered into the synagogue and taught.

21

Они направились в Капернаум. В субботу Иисус вошёл в синагогу и стал учить людей.

And they were astonished at his doctrine, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

22

Они дивились Его учению, потому что Иисус учил их, как имеющий власть, а не как законоучитель.

And there was in their synagogue a man [possessed] by an unclean spirit, and he cried out

23

Внезапно в синагоге появился человек, одержимый нечистым духом, и закричал:

24

saying, Eh! what have we to do with thee, Jesus, Nazarene? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God.

24

"Что Тебе нужно от нас, Иисус из Назарета? Ты пришёл, чтобы погубить нас? Я знаю Тебя, Святой Божий!"

25

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace and come out of him.

25

Иисус приказал нечистому духу: "Умолкни и выйди из него".

26

And the unclean spirit, having torn him, and uttered a cry with a loud voice, came out of him.

26

Тогда нечистый дух вызвал у человека приступ падучей, закричал громким голосом и вышел из него.

27

And all were amazed, so that they questioned together among themselves, saying, What is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.

27

Все были так поражены, что начали спрашивать друг друга: "Что это за новое учение? Он властно приказывает даже нечистым духам, и те повинуются Ему".

28

And his fame went out straightway into the whole region of Galilee around.

28

И молва о Нём разнеслась по всей Галилее.

Jesus Heals at Peter's House

And straightway going out of the synagogue, they came with James and John into the house of Simon and Andrew.

29

Выйдя вскоре из синагоги, они с Иоанном и Иаковом сразу же направились в дом Симона и Андрея.

30

And the mother-in-law of Simon lay in a fever. And straightway they speak to him about her.

30

Тёща Симона лежала в постели в сильном жару, и они сказали о ней Иисусу.

31

And he went up to [her] and raised her up, having taken her by the hand, and straightway the fever left her, and she served them.

31

Он подошёл, взял её за руку и помог ей встать. Жар прошёл, и она стала прислуживать им.

32

But evening being come, when the sun had gone down, they brought to him all that were suffering, and those possessed by demons;

С наступлением вечера, после захода солнца к Нему привели всех больных и бесноватых.

and the whole city was gathered together at the door.

33

Весь город собрался у дверей.

34

And he healed many suffering from various diseases; and he cast out many demons, and did not suffer the demons to speak because they knew him.

И Он исцелил многих, страдавших различными болезнями, и изгнал много бесов. Но Он запретил бесам говорить, ибо знали они, кто Он такой.

Jesus Prays and Preaches

And rising in the morning long before day, he went out and went away into a desert place, and there prayed.

35

Ранним утром, когда было ещё темно, Он вышел из дому и направился в уединённое место и там молился.

36

And Simon and those with him went after him:

36

Симон же и те, кто был с Ним, пошли искать Его

37

and having found him, they say to him, All seek thee.

37

и когда нашли, то сказали Ему: "Все Тебя ищут".

And he says to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighbouring country towns, that I may preach there also, for for this purpose am I come forth.

38

Он сказал им: "Давайте пойдём в близлежащие города, чтобы Я мог и там проповедовать, ибо для этого Я пришёл".

And he was preaching in their synagogues in the whole of Galilee, and casting out demons.

39

И Он пошёл по Галилее, проповедуя в синагогах и изгоняя бесов.

The Leper's Prayer

And there comes to him a leper, beseeching him, and falling on his knees to him, and saying to him, If thou wilt thou canst cleanse me.

40

К Нему подошёл прокажённый, пал перед Ним на колени и стал умолять о помощи, говоря: "Если Ты захочешь, то сможешь очистить меня".

41

But Jesus, moved with compassion, having stretched out his hand, touched him, and says to him, I will, be thou cleansed.

41

Иисус, преисполнившись жалости к нему, протянул руку, коснулся его и сказал: "Хочу. Очистись!"

42

And as he spoke straightway the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

42

Проказа тотчас сошла с него, и он очистился.

43

And having sharply charged him, he straightway sent him away,

43

Иисус же отослал его прочь

44

and says to him, See thou say nothing to any one, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.

44

и строго наказал ему: "Смотри, никому не рассказывай об этом, а пойди, покажись священнику и принеси жертву за очищение твоё, как повелел Моисей. Пусть это будет свидетельством для них".

45

But he, having gone forth, began to proclaim [it] much, and to spread the matter abroad, so that he could no longer enter openly into the city, but was without in desert places, and they came to him from every side.

45

Но тот пошёл и стал повсюду рассказывать и разглашать то, что произошло, так что Иисус не мог более открыто войти в город, а останавливался в безлюдных местах. И приходили к Нему отовсюду.
