The Feeding of the Four Thousand

In those days, there being again a great crowd, and they having nothing that they could eat, having called his disciples to [him], he says to them,

В другой раз в один из дней собралось много народа, и им нечего было есть. Иисус, призвав Своих учеников, сказал им:

I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat,

"Мне жаль этих людей, потому что вот уже три дня они со Мною, а им нечего есть.

3

and if I should dismiss them to their home fasting, they will faint on the way; for some of them are come from far.

3

Если Я отошлю их домой голодными, они ослабеют в пути, а ведь некоторые из них пришли издалека".

And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to satisfy these with bread here in a desert place?

4

Его ученики ответили: "Где в таком пустынном месте найти столько хлеба, чтобы накормить этих людей?"

And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

5

Иисус спросил их: "Сколько хлебов у вас есть?" "Семь", — ответили они.

And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, he gave thanks, and broke [them] and gave [them] to his disciples, that they might set [them] before [them]; and they set [them] before the crowd.

Тогда Он велел народу сесть на землю, взял семь хлебов, и, сказав благодарственную молитву, разломил хлебы и дал Своим ученикам для раздачи, и они раздали хлеб народу.

And they had a few small fishes, and having blessed them, he desired these also to be set before [them].

У них было также несколько небольших рыбин, и, благословив, Он велел раздать и их тоже.

And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up of fragments that remained seven baskets.

Люди поели и насытились. Оставшихся же кусков собрали семь полных корзин.

And they [that had eaten] were about four thousand; and he sent them away.

А было там около четырёх тысяч человек. Затем Он отпустил их

10

And immediately going on board ship with his disciples, he came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

10

и, сразу же сев в лодку со Своими учениками, прибыл в окрестности Далмануфы.

The Pharisees Seek a Sign

And the Pharisees went out and began to dispute against him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

Пришли фарисеи и начали спорить с Иисусом. Они требовали от Него знамения с неба, чтобы искусить Его.

And groaning in his spirit, he says, Why does this generation seek a sign? Verily I say unto you, A sign shall in no wise be given to this generation.

12

Глубоко вздохнув про Себя, Он сказал: "Почему вы требуете знамения? Истинно говорю, не будет знамения этому роду".

And he left them, and going again on board ship, went away to the other side.

Затем, покинув их, Он снова сел в лодку со Своими учениками и отправился на другую сторону озера.

Leaven of the Pharisees and Herod

And they forgot to take bread, and save one loaf, they had not [any] with them in the ship.

На сей раз у учеников ничего с собой не было, кроме одного каравая хлеба в лодке.

15

And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and [of] the leaven of Herod.

15

Иисус предупреждал их, говоря: "Смотрите, берегитесь фарисейской и иродовой закваски".

16

And they reasoned with one another, [saying], It is because we have no bread.

16

И они стали обсуждать между собой, что это означает. "Он сказал так, потому что у нас нет хлеба", — говорили они.

17

And Jesus knowing [it], says to them, Why reason ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your heart [yet] hardened?

17

Зная, о чем они говорят, Иисус сказал им: "К чему рассуждаете о том, что у вас нет хлеба? Неужели вы всё ещё не видите и не понимаете? Неужели сердца ваши так очерствели?

18

Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

Неужели, имея глаза, не видите? И неужели, имея уши, не слышите? Неужели вы не помните,

19

When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many hand-baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.

сколько полных корзин кусков хлеба вы набрали, когда Я поделил пять хлебов между пятью тысячами человек?" "Двенадцать", — ответили они.

20

And when the seven for the four thousand, the filling of how many baskets of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

20

"Когда Я разломил семь хлебов для четырёх тысяч человек, сколько полных корзин кусков вы собрали?" "Семь", — ответили они.

21

And he said to them, How do ye not yet understand?

21

Тогда Он спросил их: "Неужели вы до сих пор ещё не понимаете?"

A Blind Man Healed at Bethsaida

And he comes to Bethsaida; and they bring him a blind man, and beseech him that he might touch him.

22

Они прибыли в Вифсаиду. Там к Нему привели слепого и попросили дотронуться до него.

And taking hold of the hand of the blind man he led him forth out of the village, and having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him, and asked him if he beheld anything.

23

Он взял слепого за руку и вывел из селения. И, плюнув ему на глаза, возложил на него Свои руки и спросил: "Видишь ли ты что-нибудь?"

24

And having looked up, he said, I behold men, for I see [them], as trees, walking.

24

Тот посмотрел вверх и сказал: "Я вижу людей проходящих мимо. Они похожи на деревья".

25

Then he laid his hands again upon his eyes, and he saw distinctly, and was restored and saw all things clearly.

25

Тогда Иисус возложил руки ему на глаза, человек тот широко открыл глаза, и к нему вернулось зрение, и он снова стал хорошо видеть.

And he sent him to his house, saying, Neither enter into the village, nor tell [it] to any one in the village.

26

Тогда Иисус отослал его домой, говоря: "Не заходи в селение".

27

Peter's Confession of Christ

And Jesus went forth and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea-Philippi. And by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am?

27

Иисус со Своими учениками пошёл оттуда в селения Кесарии Филипповой. По дороге Он спросил учеников: "Что говорят люди, кто Я такой?"

28

And they answered him, saying, John the baptist; and others, Elias; but others, One of the prophets.

28

И они ответили: "Одни говорят, что Ты Иоанн Креститель, другие — что Ты Илия. Третьи утверждают, что Ты один из пророков".

29

And he asked them, But *ye*, who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering says to him, *Thou* art the Christ.

29

Тогда Иисус спросил: "А что вы думаете, кто Я, по-вашему, такой?" Пётр ответил Ему: "Ты — Христос".

30

And he charged them straitly, in order that they should tell no man about him.

30

И тогда Он запретил им рассказывать о Себе кому-либо.

31

Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection

And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests and of the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise [again].

31

И начал Он учить их, что много должен будет выстрадать Сын Человеческий, что будет Он отвергнут старейшинами, первосвященниками и законоучителями и будет убит, но на третий день воскреснет.

32

And he spoke the thing openly. And Peter, taking him to [him], began to rebuke him.

32

Он открыто сказал им об этом. А Пётр отвёл Его в сторону и стал укорять.

33

But he, turning round and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get away behind me, Satan, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men.

33

Но Иисус, повернувшись, взглянул на Своих учеников и сурово ответил Петру: "Отойди от Меня, сатана! Не о Божьем ты думаешь, а о том, что люди считают важным".

34

Take up Your Cross

And having called the crowd with his disciples, he said to them, Whoever desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.

Затем, позвав к себе народ и Своих учеников, Он сказал им: "Если кто хочет следовать за Мной, должен он забыть о собственных желаниях, принять на себя крест страданий и последовать за Мной.

35

For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.

35

Ибо кто хочет сохранить свою жизнь, тот потеряет её, а кто отдаст жизнь свою за Меня и Евангелие, тот сохранит её.

36

For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul?

36

Ибо что проку для человека, если, приобретя весь мир, потеряет он душу свою?

37

for what should a man give in exchange for his soul?

37

Ибо что может отдать человек, чтобы выкупить свою душу?

38

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him shall the Son of man also be ashamed when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

38

И если кто-нибудь, живущий в это неверное и грешное время, устыдится Меня и слов Моих, то и Я устыжусь того человека, когда приду во славе Своего Отца со святыми ангелами".
