Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two

Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place where he himself was about to come.

После этого Господь избрал семьдесят два других ученика и послал их по двое перед Собой в каждый город и место, куда Он сам намеревался идти.

2

And he said to them, The harvest indeed [is] great, but the workmen few; supplicate therefore the Lord of the harvest that he may send out workmen into his harvest.

И сказал им Иисус: "Жатва велика, но работников мало. Поэтому молите Господа жатвы, чтобы Он послал больше работников на ниву Свою.

3

Go: behold *I* send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves.

3

Идите! Я посылаю вас, словно овец к волкам.

4

Carry neither purse nor scrip nor sandals, and salute no one on the way.

4

Не берите с собой ни денег, ни сумы, ни обуви, и ни с кем не останавливайтесь и не заговаривайте в пути.

And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace to this house.

5

В какой бы дом вы ни вошли, сначала скажите: "Мир этому дому".

And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it; but if not it shall turn to you again.

И если там будет миролюбивый человек, ваш мир останется с ним, а если нет, к вам возвратится.

And in the same house abide, eating and drinking such things as they have; for the workman is worthy of his hire. Remove not from house to house.

Оставайтесь в доме миролюбивого, ешьте и пейте, что вам предложат, потому что работник достоин оплаты. И не переходите из дома в дом.

And into whatsoever city ye may enter and they receive you, eat what is set before you,

Если вы войдёте в город и вас примут, ешьте, что вам предложат.

and heal the sick in it, and say to them, The kingdom of God is come nigh to you.

Исцеляйте там больных и говорите им: "Царство Божие приблизилось к вам".

10

But into whatsoever city ye may have entered and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,

Но если вы войдёте в город и вас не примут, выйдите на улицы этого города и скажите:

11

Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us on the feet, do we shake off against you; but know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh.

11

"Даже пыль вашего города, которая пристала к ногам нашим, мы стряхиваем на вас. Однако знайте, Царство Божие близко".

12

I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for Sodom in that day than for that city.

12

И говорю вам, что в судный день городу тому будет хуже, чем Содому".

Woe to the Unrepentant

Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the works of power which have taken place in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they had long ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

"Горе тебе, Хоразин! Горе тебе, Вифсаида, потому что, если бы в Тире и Сидоне произошли те чудеса, которые Я сотворил для вас, они бы давно уже покаялись и сидели в рубищах и пепле.

14

But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

14

И в судный день хуже будет вам, чем даже Тиру и Сидону.

15

And *thou*, Capernaum, who hast been raised up to heaven, shalt be brought down even to hades.

15

А ты, Капернаум, до неба ли будешь вознесён? Нет, ты будешь низвергнут в страну мёртвых.

16

He that hears you hears me; and he that rejects you rejects me; and he that rejects me rejects him that sent me.

16

Слушающий вас, слушает Меня; отвергающий вас, отвергает Меня. А кто отвергает Меня, отвергает Пославшего Меня".

17

The Seventy-Two Return with Joy

And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through thy name.

17

Семьдесят два ученика, посланных Иисусом, возвратились радостные и сказали: "Господи! Даже бесы подвластны нам во имя Твоё".

18

And he said to them, I beheld Satan as lightning falling out of heaven.

18

Иисус же сказал им: "Я видел сатану, упавшего с небес, как молния.

19

Behold, I give you the power of treading upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall in anywise injure you.

19

Я дал вам власть попирать ногами змей и скорпионов, и власть над всеми врагами вашими, и ничто не повредит вам.

20

Yet in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice that your names are written in the heavens.

20

Но не радуйтесь тому, что духи послушны вам, а радуйтесь тому, что имена ваши записаны на небесах".

Jesus' Prayer of Thanksgiving

In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight.

В тот час возрадовался духом Иисус и сказал: "Благодарю Тебя, Отец, Господь неба и земли, что Ты скрыл это от мудрых и разумных, и открыл тем, кто подобен младенцам. Да, Отец, так было угодно Тебе.

22

All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal [him].

Всё было дано Мне Отцом Моим. И никому не ведомо, кто Сын, кроме Отца. И никто не знает, кто Отец, кроме Сына и того, кому Сын захочет открыть это".

And having turned to the disciples privately he said, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see.

23

И, будучи наедине с учениками, Он повернулся к ним и сказал: "Блаженны вы, видящие то, что видите!

24

For I say to you that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things which ye behold, and did not see [them]; and to hear the things which ye hear, and did not hear [them].

24

Ибо говорю вам: многие пророки и цари хотели видеть то, что вы видите, но не видели, и слышать то, что вы слышите, но не слышали".

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up tempting him, and saying, Teacher, having done what, shall I inherit life eternal?

И вот встал один законник и стал испытывать Иисуса, говоря: "Учитель! Как я должен поступать, чтобы унаследовать жизнь вечную?"

26

And he said to him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

26

Иисус ответил ему: "Что записано в Законе? Что читаешь ты там?"

27

But he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thine understanding; and thy neighbour as thyself.

27

И ответил тот: "Возлюби Господа Бога твоего всем сердцем твоим, и всей душой твоей, и всей силой твоей, и всем разумом твоим", и "ближнего своего возлюби, как самого себя".

28

And he said to him, Thou hast answered right: this do and thou shalt live.

28

И Иисус сказал ему: "Ты ответил верно. Поступай так, и обретёшь жизнь вечную".

29

But he, desirous of justifying himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

29

Но законник, желая оправдаться, спросил Иисуса: "А кто мой ближний?"

30

And Jesus replying said, A certain man descended from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into [the hands of] robbers, who also, having stripped him and inflicted wounds, went away leaving him in a half-dead state.

30

На это Иисус сказал: "Один человек шёл из Иерусалима в Иерихон и попал в руки разбойникам, которые сорвали с него одежду, избили и ушли, оставив его полумёртвого лежать на земле.

31

And a certain priest happened to go down that way, and seeing him, passed on on the opposite side;

31

Случайно той дорогой проходил один священник. Увидев избитого, он ушёл прочь и не остановился, чтобы помочь ему.

32

and in like manner also a Levite, being at the spot, came and looked [at him] and passed on on the opposite side.

Пришёл на то место также и левит и, увидев избитого, обошёл его, не остановившись, чтобы помочь ему.

33

But a certain Samaritan journeying came to him, and seeing [him], was moved with compassion,

33

Но некий самаритянин, находившийся в пути, проходил мимо и, увидев этого человека, сжалился над ним.

34

and came up [to him] and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine; and having put him on his own beast, took him to [the] inn and took care of him.

34

Подойдя к нему, он перевязал ему раны, омывая их оливковым маслом и вином, и, посадив на своего осла, привёз его на постоялый двор и позаботился о нём.

35

And on the morrow [as he left], taking out two denarii he gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Take care of him, and whatsoever thou shalt expend more, *I* will render to thee on my coming back.

На следующий день он вынул два динария, дал их хозяину постоялого двора и сказал: "Позаботься об этом человеке. И, если истратишь на него денег сверх этого, то отдам тебе, когда вернусь".

36

Which [now] of these three seems to thee to have been neighbour of him who fell into [the hands of] the robbers?

36

Кто из этих троих, по-твоему, был ближний тому, кто попался в руки к разбойникам?"

37

And he said, He that shewed him mercy. And Jesus said to him, Go, and do *thou* likewise.

37

Законник сказал: "Тот, кто сжалился над ним". И сказал ему Иисус: "Иди, и поступай так же".

Martha and Mary

And it came to pass as they went that *he* entered into a certain village; and a certain woman, Martha by name, received him into her house.

38

Однажды, когда Иисус и ученики Его были в пути, Он вошёл в одно селение. Женщина, по имени Марфа, оказала Ему радушное гостеприимство.

39

And she had a sister called Mary, who also, having sat down at the feet of Jesus was listening to his word.

39

У неё была сестра, которую звали Марией. Она сидела у ног Господа и слушала, что Он говорил.

40

Now Martha was distracted with much serving, and coming up she said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Speak to her therefore that she may help me.

40

Марфа же была поглощена домашними заботами. Она подошла к Иисусу и сказала: "Господи! Разве Тебя не волнует, что моя сестра оставила меня одну делать всю работу? Скажи, чтобы она помогла мне".

41

But Jesus answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things;

41

Но Господь ответил ей: "Марфа, Марфа! Ты заботишься и беспокоишься о многом,

42

but there is need of one, and Mary has chosen the good part, the which shall not be taken from her.

42

а важно только одно. Мария сделала правильный выбор, и это у неё не отнимется."
