And he said to them, Take heed and keep yourselves from all covetousness, for [it is] not because a man is in abundance [that] his life is in his possessions.

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” -

Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”

І звернувся Ісус до всіх присутніх: «Пильнуйте себе, остерігайтеся зажерливості, бо не наслідуватиме людина життя від майна свого».

І промовив до них: „Глядіть, остерігайтеся всякої заже́рливости, — бо життя чоловіка не залежить від достатку маєтку його“.

— Смотрите, берегитесь жадности. Как бы ни был богат человек, его жизнь от этого не зависит. -
І промовив ще до них: Глядіть і стережіться всякої зажерливості, бо не від надміру багатства залежить життя людини!
