Temptations and Trespasses

And he said to his disciples, It cannot be but that offences come, but woe [to him] by whom they come!

1

И сказал Иисус Своим ученикам: "Непременно будет что-либо, совращающее человека на грех, но горе человеку, через кого оно приходит!

2

It would be [more] profitable for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck and he cast into the sea, than that he should be a snare to one of these little ones.

Лучше было бы для него, если бы ему на шею привязали мельничный жернов и сбросили его в море, чем чтобы он совратил на грех одного из слабых.

Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother should sin, rebuke him; and if he should repent, forgive him.

Будьте осторожны! Если брат твой согрешит, упрекни его, если же раскается, прости.

And if he should sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times should return to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.

И если он причинит тебе зло семь раз в день и семь раз скажет тебе: "Каюсь", — прости ему".

The Power of Faith

And the apostles said to the Lord, Give more faith to us.

Тогда апостолы сказали Господу: "Дай нам больше веры".

But the Lord said, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard [seed], ye had said to this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.

И Господь сказал: "Даже если бы вера ваша была с горчичное семя, и вы сказали бы этой шелковице: "Вырви свои корни из земли и пересадись в море", то она послушалась бы вас".

But which of you [is there] who, having a bondman ploughing or shepherding, when he comes in out of the field, will say, Come and lie down immediately to table?

"Если у кого-то из вас есть слуга, который пашет или пасёт овец, то когда он вернётся с поля, разве ты скажешь ему: "Заходи и садись за стол"?

8

But will he not say to him, Prepare what I shall sup on, and gird thyself and serve me that I may eat and drink; and after that *thou* shalt eat and drink?

Ты ему скорее скажешь: "Приготовь мне поесть, потом смени одежду и прислуживай мне, пока я ем и пью, а после и сам можешь есть и пить".

Is he thankful to the bondman because he has done what was ordered? I judge not.

Благодаришь ли ты слугу за то, что тот выполнил приказанное?

Thus *ye* also, when ye shall have done all things that have been ordered you, say, We are unprofitable bondmen; we have done what it was our duty to do.

Так и вы: когда исполните всё приказанное, скажите: "Мы слуги, не заслуживающие никакой благодарности; мы всего лишь исполнили приказанное".

Jesus Heals Ten Lepers

And it came to pass as he was going up to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

На пути в Иерусалим Иисус проходил между Самарией и Галилеей.

And as he entered into a certain village ten leprous men met him, who stood afar off.

12

И когда Он входил в одно селение, Ему встретились десять прокажённых. Стоя в отдалении,

And they lifted up [their] voice saying, Jesus, Master, have compassion on us.

13

они громко звали: "Иисус, Владыка, сжалься над нами!"

14

And seeing [them] he said to them, Go, shew yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass as they were going they were cleansed.

14

И увидев их, Он сказал: "Пойдите и покажитесь священникам". И пока шли, они очистились от язв.

15

And one of them, seeing that he was cured, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,

Но один из них, увидев, что исцелён, вернулся к Иисусу и громким голосом восхвалил Бога

16

and fell on [his] face at his feet giving him thanks: and *he* was a Samaritan.

16

и, пав ниц к ногам Иисуса, благодарил Его. Этот человек был самаритянин.

17

And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but the nine, where [are they]?

17

Иисус сказал ему: "Разве не все десять очистились от язв? Где же остальные девять?

18

There have not been found to return and give glory to God save this stranger.

18

Неужели ни один из них не возвратился воздать хвалу Богу, кроме этого самаритянина?"

19

And he said to him, Rise up and go thy way: thy faith has made thee well.

19

И сказал Он ему: "Поднимись и иди. Вера твоя исцелила тебя".

20

The Coming of the Kingdom

And having been asked by the Pharisees, When is the kingdom of God coming? he answered them and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation;

20

Однажды, когда фарисеи спросили у Иисуса, когда настанет Царство Божье, Он ответил им: "Царство Божье уже грядёт, но настанет оно незримо.

21

nor shall they say, Lo here, or, Lo there; for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.

21

Никому не дано будет сказать: "Смотрите, вот оно пришло, Царство Божье!" или: "Вон там Царство Божье настало!", ибо Царство Божье внутри вас".

22

And he said to the disciples, Days are coming, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and shall not see [it].

22

И сказал Он Своим ученикам: "Настанет время, когда захотите прожить хотя бы один такой день, когда Сын Человеческий придёт в славе Своей, но не сможете.

23

And they will say to you, Lo here, or Lo there; go not, nor follow [them].

23

И люди будут говорить вам: "Вот здесь", "Вон там". Но оставайтесь там, где будете, и не бегите за ними, и не ищите".

24

For as the lightning shines which lightens from [one end] under heaven to [the other end] under heaven, thus shall the Son of man be in his day.

24

"Ибо, как молния сверкает и освещает небо от края до края, так и Сын Человеческий воссияет в тот день, когда возвратится.

25

But first he must suffer many things and be rejected of this generation.

25

Но прежде должен Он много перестрадать и отвергнут будет этим поколением.

26

And as it took place in the days of Noe, thus also shall it be in the days of the Son of man:

26

И как было во времена Ноя, так будет в те дни, когда вернётся Сын Человеческий:

27

they ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed all [of them];

27

все ели, пили, женились и выходили замуж — до того дня, когда Ной вошёл в ковчег, и начался потоп, уничтоживший их всех.

28

and in like manner as took place in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

28

Будет так же, как было во времена Лота, когда Бог разрушил Содом: все ели, пили, покупали, продавали, сажали и строили дома.

29

but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulphur from heaven, and destroyed all [of them]:

29

Но в день, когда Лот вышел из Содома, пролился с небес дождь из огня и серы и уничтожил их всех.

30

after this [manner] shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.

30

Так же будет и когда явится Сын Человеческий.

31

In that day, he who shall be on the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not go down to take it away; and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

31

В тот день, если кто будет на крыше, а имущество его в доме, пусть не спускается вниз, чтобы собрать свои вещи. И, если кто будет в поле, пусть не возвращается домой.

Remember the wife of Lot.

32

Вспомните жену Лота.

33

Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose it shall preserve it.

33

Тот, кто будет стремиться сохранить жизнь свою, потеряет её, а кто потеряет жизнь свою, сохранит жизнь вечную.

34

I say to you, In that night there shall be two [men] upon one bed; one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.

34

Говорю вам, если в ту ночь будут двое в одной комнате, один будет взят, а другой останется.

35

Two [women] shall be grinding together; the one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.

35

Две женщины будут рядом молоть зерно и одну возьмут, а другую оставят.

36

[Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be seized and the other let go.]

36

И будут два человека в поле, и один будет взят, а другой оставлен".

37

And answering they say to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body [is], there the eagles will be gathered together.

37

И спросили Иисуса ученики: "Где же будет всё это?" И ответил Он им: "Там, где труп лежит, всегда соберутся орлы".
