The Poor Widow's Offering

And he looked up and saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury;

1

Иисус смотрел, как богатые клали свои дары в сокровищницу храма.

but he saw also a certain poor widow casting therein two mites.

2

Он увидел также и бедную вдову, которая бросила две медные монетки.

3

And he said, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow has cast in more than all;

3

— Говорю вам истину, — сказал Иисус, — эта бедная вдова положила больше всех.

4

for all these out of their abundance have cast into the gifts [of God]; but she out of her need has cast in all the living which she had.

Потому что все давали от своего избытка, а она от своей нищеты положила все, что у нее было на жизнь.

5

Temple Destruction Foretold

And as some spoke of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and consecrated offerings, he said,

Когда присутствующие заговорили о храме, о том, как он украшен прекрасными камнями и дарами, принесенными Богу, Иисус сказал:

[As to] these things which ye are beholding, days are coming in which there shall not be left stone upon stone which shall not be thrown down.

— Наступит время, когда от всего, что вы здесь видите, не останется и камня на камне, все будет разрушено.

7

And they asked him saying, Teacher, when then shall these things be; and what [is] the sign when these things are going to take place?

7

Его спросили:
— Учитель, когда это произойдет? И какое знамение укажет на приближение этих событий?

And he said, See that ye be not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, *I* am [he], and the time is drawn nigh: go ye not [therefore] after them.

Он сказал:
— Смотрите, чтобы никто не обманул вас, потому что многие будут приходить под Моим именем, говоря: «Это Я» и «Время настало». Не идите за ними.

And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end is not immediately.

Когда вы услышите о войнах и восстаниях, не пугайтесь. Все это должно произойти сначала, но конец наступит не сразу.

10

Witnessing to All Nations

Then he said to them, Nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;

10

Иисус продолжал:
— Народ поднимется на народ и царство на царство.

11

there shall be both great earthquakes in different places, and famines and pestilences; and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.

Будут сильные землетрясения, голод и эпидемии в разных местах, будут происходить ужасные события и явятся великие знамения на небе.

12

But before all these things they shall lay their hands upon you and persecute you, delivering [you] up to synagogues and prisons, bringing [you] before kings and governors on account of my name;

12

Но еще до того, как все это произойдет, вас будут арестовывать и преследовать. Вас будут приводить в синагоги и бросать в темницы, будут ставить перед царями и правителями, и все это из-за Моего имени.

but it shall turn out to you for a testimony.

13

Тогда у вас будет возможность свидетельствовать.

14

Settle therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand [your] defence,

Но не беспокойтесь заранее о том, что вам говорить в свою защиту,

15

for *I* will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your opposers shall not be able to reply to or resist.

15

потому что Я дам вам такие слова и такую мудрость, что никто из ваших противников не сможет противоречить или противостоять вам.

16

But ye will be delivered up even by parents and brethren and relations and friends, and they shall put to death [some] from among you,

16

Вас будут предавать даже родители, братья, родственники и друзья, и некоторых из вас убьют.

17

and ye will be hated of all for my name's sake.

17

Все будут ненавидеть вас из-за Меня,

18

And a hair of your head shall in no wise perish.

18

но ни один волос не упадет с вашей головы.

19

By your patient endurance gain your souls.

19

Своей стойкостью вы приобретете ваши души.

20

The Destruction of Jerusalem

But when ye see Jerusalem encompassed with armies, then know that its desolation is drawn nigh.

20

Когда вы увидите Иерусалим окруженным войсками, то знайте, что время его разрушения близко.107

21

Then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains, and those who are in the midst of it depart out, and those who are in the country not enter into it;

21

Тогда те, кто находится в Иудее, пусть бегут в горы, кто в городе — пусть бегут из него, кто вне города — пусть не входят в него,

22

for these are days of avenging, that all the things that are written may be accomplished.

22

потому что это будет временем возмездия и исполнения всего написанного.108

23

But woe to them that are with child and to them who give suck in those days, for there shall be great distress upon the land and wrath upon this people.

23

Горе беременным и кормящим грудью в те дни, потому что великое бедствие постигнет эту землю и гнев изольется на этот народ.

24

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of [the] nations until [the] times of [the] nations be fulfilled.

24

Люди будут гибнуть от меча, и их будут уводить в плен во все народы. Иерусалим будут топтать язычники, и так до тех пор, пока время язычников не окончится.

25

The Return of the Son of Man

And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity [at] the roar of the sea and rolling waves,

На солнце, луне и звездах появятся знамения, а на земле народы будут в трепете и отчаянии от рева морских волн.109

26

men ready to die through fear and expectation of what is coming on the habitable earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

26

Они ослабеют от страха перед бедствиями, надвигающимися на мир, и даже небесные силы поколеблются.110

27

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

27

И тогда люди увидят Сына Человеческого, идущего на облаке с силой и великой славой.111

28

But when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws nigh.

28

Когда это начнет сбываться, встаньте и поднимите головы, потому что ваше избавление уже близко.

29

The lesson of the Fig Tree

And he spoke a parable to them: Behold the fig-tree and all the trees;

29

Потом Он рассказал им такую притчу:
— Посмотрите на инжир и на все деревья.

30

when they already sprout, ye know of your own selves, [on] looking [at them], that already the summer is near.

30

Когда на них появляются листья, вы знаете, что уже приближается лето.

31

So also *ye*, when ye see these things take place, know that the kingdom of God is near.

31

Так и здесь, когда вы увидите, что это сбывается, знайте, что Царство Божье уже близко.

32

Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall in no wise pass away until all come to pass.

32

Говорю вам истину: еще не исчезнет это поколение, как все это произойдет.

33

The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.

33

Небо и земля пройдут, но Мои слова не пройдут.

Be Watchful

But take heed to yourselves lest possibly your hearts be laden with surfeiting and drinking and cares of life, and that day come upon you suddenly unawares;

Смотрите, чтобы ваши сердца не были отягощены разгулом, пьянством и житейскими заботами и чтобы этот День не застиг вас врасплох,

35

for as a snare shall it come upon all them that dwell upon the face of the whole earth.

35

как западня, потому что он обрушится на всех людей, живущих по всей земле.

36

Watch therefore, praying at every season, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things which are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

36

Всегда бодрствуйте и молитесь, чтобы вам оказаться в силах избежать всех этих бедствий и предстать перед Сыном Человеческим.

37

And by day he was teaching in the temple, and by night, going out, he remained abroad on the mountain called [the mount] of Olives;

37

Каждый день Иисус учил в храме, а вечером шел на Оливковую гору и проводил там ночь.

38

and all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.

38

А рано утром народ опять собирался в храме, чтобы слушать Его.
