Do not thou then be persuaded by them, for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, who have put themselves under a curse neither to eat nor drink till they kill him; and now they are ready waiting the promise from thee.

But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.

But do not yield to them, for more than forty of them lie in wait for him, men who have bound themselves by an oath that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him; and now they are ready, waiting for the promise from you.”

Don’t give in to them, because more than forty of them are waiting in ambush for him. They have taken an oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him. They are ready now, waiting for your consent to their request.” -

But don’t do it! There are more than forty men hiding along the way ready to ambush him. They have vowed not to eat or drink anything until they have killed him. They are ready now, just waiting for your consent.”

Но ты не слушай их; ибо его подстерегают более сорока человек из них, которые заклялись не есть и не пить, доколе не убьют его; и они теперь готовы, ожидая твоего распоряжения.

Та ти не вір їм, бо з них більш ніж сорок чоловік на нього засідають, поклявшися ні їсти, ані пити, поки його не вб'ють. І он тепер вони готові, чекаючи твоєї на це згоди.»

Ти ж не слухай їх: засїдаєть ся бо їх на него більш сорока чоловік, що закляли ся не їсти й не пити, доки не вбють його; і тепер готові вони, дожидаючи від тебе обіцянки. -
Але не дай їм себе переконати, бо більше сорока чоловік будуть чекати на нього в засідці. Вони поклялися не їсти й не пити, доки не вб’ють Павла. І тепер вони вже напоготові, тільки й чекають твоєї згоди».

Отож, не послухайся їх, бо чигає на нього їх більш сорока чоловіка, що клятву скла́ли ні їсти, ні пити, аж доки його не заб'ють. І тепер он готові вони, і чекають твого прире́чення“.

Но ты этому не верь, потому что в засаде его поджидают более сорока человек. Они поклялись не есть и не пить, пока не убьют его. Они стоят наготове и только ждут твоего согласия исполнить их просьбу.

Ти ж не вір їм, бо на нього чекають у засідці понад сорок чоловік із них, які між собою склали клятву не їсти і не пити, доки не вб’ють його. Тож тепер вони готові й очікують від тебе розпорядження.
