And Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [which is] the ninth [hour];

Петро та Іван ішли до храму на молитву на дев’яту годину [1].
and a certain man who was lame from his mother's womb was being carried, whom they placed every day at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, to ask alms of those who were going into the temple;
І був тут один чоловік, кривий від народження; його приносили і садовили щодня перед воротами храму, котрі називали Гарними, аби просив милостиню у тих, хто приходив до храму.
who, seeing Peter and John about to enter into the temple, asked to receive alms.
Побачивши Петра й Івана, які хотіли увійти до храму, він почав просити милостиню.
And Peter, looking stedfastly upon him with John, said, Look on us.
Поглянули на нього Петро з Іваном і сказали: Подивися на нас!
And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them.
Він пильно дивився на них, сподіваючись щось від них одержати.
But Peter said, Silver and gold I have not; but what I have, this give I to thee: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean rise up and walk.
А Петро сказав: Срібла й золота не маю, але що маю, те й даю тобі: в Ім’я Ісуса Христа Назарянина встань і ходи!
And having taken hold of him [by] the right hand he raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones were made strong.
І, узявши його за праву руку, підвів його. Відразу ж зміцніли його стопи й суглоби. Підскочивши, він устав і почав ходити.
And leaping up he stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
Тож ввійшов з ними в храм, ходив і підскакував, хвалячи Бога.
And all the people saw him walking and praising God;
І весь народ побачив, як він ходив і вихваляв Бога.
and they recognised him, that it was *he* who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Коли ж дізналися, що це той, який сидів заради милостині біля Гарних воріт храму, переповнилися страхом і подивом від того, що з ним сталося.

And Peter, seeing it, answered the people, Men of Israel, why are ye astonished at this? or why do ye gaze on us as if we had by our own power or piety made him to walk?
Побачивши це, Петро звернувся до народу: Мужі ізраїльські! Чого дивуєтеся із цього? Чому дивитеся на нас так, наче ми своєю силою або побожністю зробили, щоб він ходив?
The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom *ye* delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when *he* had judged that he should be let go.
Бог Авраама, Бог Ісаака і Бог Якова, Бог наших батьків, прославив Свого слугу Ісуса, Якого ви видали й відреклися перед Пилатом, який присудив Його відпустити.
But *ye* denied the holy and righteous one, and asked that a man [that was] a murderer should be granted to you;
Ви відреклися від Святого й Праведного, а випросили звільнити вам людину-вбивцю.
but the originator of life ye slew, whom God raised from among [the] dead, whereof *we* are witnesses.
Володаря життя ви вбили, та Бог воскресив Його з мертвих, свідками чого є ми.
And, by faith in his name, his name has made this [man] strong whom ye behold and know; and the faith which is by him has given him this complete soundness in the presence of you all.
І вірою в Ім’я Його — Його Ім’я оздоровило того, кого бачите й знаєте. Віра, яка від Нього, дала йому це зцілення перед усіма вами.
And now, brethren, I know that ye did it in ignorance, as also your rulers;
А тепер, [мужі-] брати, знаю, що зробили ви так через незнання — і так само ваші володарі.
but God has thus fulfilled what he had announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer.
Бог провістив наперед устами всіх пророків, що Христос має постраждати; так Він і виконав.
Repent therefore and be converted, for the blotting out of your sins, so that times of refreshing may come from [the] presence of the Lord,
Тож покайтеся і наверніться, аби були стерті ваші гріхи,
and he may send Jesus Christ, who was foreordained for you,
щоб від обличчя Господнього прийшов час відлиги, щоби послав наперед призначеного вам Ісуса Христа,
whom heaven indeed must receive till [the] times of [the] restoring of all things, of which God has spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets since time began.
бо треба, щоб небо прийняло Його до часу відновлення всього, про що Бог говорив устами Своїх святих відвічних пророків.
Moses indeed said, A prophet shall [the] Lord your God raise up to you out of your brethren like me: him shall ye hear in everything whatsoever he shall say to you.
Мойсей провіщав [батькам], що Господь, Бог ваш, підійме вам Пророка з братів ваших, як і мене: Його слухайте в усьому, що тільки скаже вам.
And it shall be that whatsoever soul shall not hear that prophet shall be destroyed from among the people.
Буде так, що кожна душа, яка не послухає Того Пророка, буде вигублена з народу.
And indeed all the prophets from Samuel and those in succession after [him], as many as have spoken, have announced also these days.
І так само всі пророки — від Самуїла й пізніших — говорили й сповіщали про ці дні.
*Ye* are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God appointed to our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Ви — сини пророків і Завіту, який Бог заповів вашим батькам, кажучи Авраамові: І в нащадкові твоєму благословляться всі народи землі!
