Provision for Priests and Levites

The priests, the Levites, [and] the whole tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel: Jehovah's offerings by fire, and his inheritance shall they eat,

"Колено Левия не получило надела земли в Израиле, ибо эти люди будут служить священниками, они будут питаться жертвами, приготовленными на огне в приношение Господу, это и будет доля колена левитов.

2

but they shall have no inheritance among their brethren: Jehovah, he is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

Левиты не получат надела земли, как другие колена, ибо их удел — Сам Господь, как Он говорил им.

3

And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that sacrifice a sacrifice, whether ox, or sheep: they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the jawbones, and the maw.

Заколов вола или овцу, чтобы принести жертву, отдай священнику вот какие части: плечо, челюсти и желудок.

4

The firstfruits [also] of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstfruits of the shearing of thy sheep, shalt thou give him;

давай священнику также первый сбор урожая: первое зерно, первое молодое вино и первый елей, и отдавай левитам первый настриг шерсти с овцы,

5

for Jehovah thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, that he may stand to serve in the name of Jehovah, he and his sons continually.

ибо Господь, Бог твой, посмотрев на все колена, избрал Левия и его потомков служить Ему во веки веков.

6

And if the Levite shall come from one of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourneth, and shall come according to all the desire of his soul unto the place which Jehovah will choose,

Всякий левит, живущий в одном из городов Израиля, в любое время может уйти из своего дома и прийти на святое место Господнее, если захочет.

7

and shall serve in the name of Jehovah his God, as all his brethren the Levites that stand there before Jehovah,

Этот левит может служить во имя Господа, Бога своего, как и все его братья, служащие перед Господом,

8

they shall have like portions to eat, besides that which he hath sold of his patrimony.

8

и получит равную со всеми остальными левитами долю сверх той, которую обычно получает его семья".

Sorcery Forbidden

When thou art come into the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.

9

"Когда придёшь на землю, которую Господь, Бог твой, даёт тебе, не учись у других народов делать мерзости, которые они творят:

10

There shall not be found among you he that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, that useth divination, that useth auguries, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,

10

не приноси в жертву на огне своего алтаря ни сыновей, ни дочерей своих, не пытайся узнать о будущем, расспрашивая прорицателя, и не ходи к волшебнику, колдунье или колдуну.

11

or a charmer, or one that inquireth of a spirit of Python, or a soothsayer, or one that consulteth the dead.

Не позволяй никому колдовать на другого, не допускай, чтобы кто-то из твоего народа вызывал духов или сделался волшебником, и пусть никто не пытается говорить с умершими.

12

For every one that doeth these things is an abomination to Jehovah, and because of these abominations Jehovah thy God doth dispossess them from before thee.

Господу, Богу твоему, ненавистны те, кто делает такое, потому Он и изгоняет ради тебя другие народы из этой страны.

13

Thou shalt be perfect with Jehovah thy God.

13

Будь верен Господу, Богу своему".

14

For these nations, which thou shalt dispossess, hearkened unto those that use auguries, and that use divination; but as for thee, Jehovah thy God hath not suffered thee [to do] so.

"Изгони из своей земли другие народы, которые слушают волшебников и прорицателей; Господь, Бог твой, не позволяет тебе делать то, что делают они.

15

A New Prophet

Jehovah thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him shall ye hearken;

Господь, Бог твой, пошлёт тебе пророка, и тот выйдет из твоей собственной среды и будет, как я. Ты должен слушать того пророка.

16

according to all that thou desiredst of Jehovah thy God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

Бог пошлёт тебе его, ибо ты просил Бога об этом. Когда вы собрались все вместе на горе Хориве и сказали: "Да не услышим мы никогда впредь голос Господний! Да не увидим мы никогда впредь этот великий огонь, чтобы нам не умереть!"

17

And Jehovah said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

17

Господь сказал мне: "Хорошо, что они просят об этом.

18

A prophet will I raise up unto them from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

18

Я пошлю им пророка, такого, как ты, он будет одним из них, и Я скажу ему что говорить, и он скажет народу всё, что Я повелю.

19

And it shall come to pass that the man who hearkeneth not unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

19

Этот пророк будет говорить за Меня, и если, когда он говорит, кто ослушается Моих заповедей, Я накажу того человека".

20

But the prophet who shall presume to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.

20

И если случится, что пророк скажет от Моего имени что-нибудь, что Я не велел ему говорить, он должен быть убит. А если появится пророк, говорящий от имени других богов, то пророк этот тоже должен быть убит.

21

And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word that Jehovah hath not spoken?

21

Ты можешь подумать: "Откуда мне знать от Господа ли то, что говорит пророк?"

22

When a prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, and the thing followeth not, nor cometh to pass, that is the word which Jehovah hath not spoken; the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: be not afraid of him.

22

Если пророк скажет, что говорит от имени Господа, но сказанное им не исполнится, то знай, что Господь не говорил этого, знай, что пророк говорит от себя самого, не бойся его".
