Paul and Apollos God's Fellow Workers

And *I*, brethren, have not been able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly; as to babes in Christ.

Но я, братья, не мог говорить с вами, как с людьми духовными. Вместо того, мне пришлось говорить с вами, как с мирскими людьми, как с младенцами во Христе.

I have given you milk to drink, not meat, for ye have not yet been able, nor indeed are ye yet able;

Я поил вас молоком и не давал вам твёрдой пищи, ибо вы ещё не могли есть твёрдую пищу и даже сейчас ещё не способны к этому,

for ye are yet carnal. For whereas [there are] among you emulation and strife, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man?

ибо всё ещё принадлежите этому миру. И раз среди вас есть зависть и раздоры, то разве не мирские вы, и разве не ведёте себя, как весь остальной мир?

For when one says, *I* am of Paul, and another, *I* of Apollos, are ye not men?

Когда один говорит: "Я — приверженец Павла", а другой говорит: "Я — последователь Аполлоса", то разве вы не поступаете, как все в этом мире?

Who then is Apollos, and who Paul? Ministering servants, through whom ye have believed, and as the Lord has given to each.

А кто такой Аполлос и кто Павел? Мы всего лишь слуги, с помощью которых вы стали верующими, и мы исполнили труд свой, как назначил Господь каждому из нас.

*I* have planted; Apollos watered; but God has given the increase.

Я посеял зерно, Аполлос увлажнил его, но вырастил его Господь.

So that neither the planter is anything, nor the waterer; but God the giver of the increase.

Ни тот, кто сеет зерно, ни кто поливает его, не важны, только Господь, который выращивает.

But the planter and the waterer are one; but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

У того, кто сеет зерно, и у того, кто поливает его, цель одна и та же, и каждый из них получит награду по своему труду.

For we are God's fellow-workmen; ye are God's husbandry, God's building.

Но мы все вместе трудимся для Бога. Вы же — поле и строение Божие.

Christ the Only Foundation

According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.

Согласно дару Божьему, который был мне дан, я заложил основание, подобно мудрому строителю, а другой строит на нём, но каждый должен смотреть как строит.

For other foundation can no man lay besides that which [is] laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Ибо никто не может заложить другого основания, кроме положенного, которое есть Иисус Христос.

Now if any one build upon [this] foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw,

Если кто строит на этом основании, то чем бы он ни пользовался: золотом, серебром, самоцветами, деревом, сеном или соломой, —

the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare [it], because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is.

труд каждого станет очевидным, ибо тот день сделает всё явным, потому что настанет в огне, и этот самый огонь испытает работу каждого.

14

If the work of any one which he has built upon [the foundation] shall abide, he shall receive a reward.

14

Если созданное кем-то, что построено им, устоит, он получит награду.

15

If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but *he* shall be saved, but so as through [the] fire.

15

Если созданное им сгорит, то он понесёт убыток, сам же, однако, спасётся, как и всякий, кто пробежит сквозь огонь.

You are God's Temple

Do ye not know that ye are [the] temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you?

16

Разве не знаете, что вы — храм Божий и что Дух Божий живёт в вас?

17

If any one corrupt the temple of God, *him* shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are *ye*.

17

Если кто разрушит храм Божий, то Бог покарает его, ибо храм Божий — свят, а вы и есть этот храм.

18

Let no one deceive himself: if any one thinks himself to be wise among you in this world, let him become foolish, that he may be wise.

18

Не обманывайте себя: если кто-то из вас думает, что умён мудростью этого мира, то должен стать он "глупым", чтобы быть воистину мудрым.

19

Worldly Wisdom is Foolishness to God

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, He who takes the wise in their craftiness.

19

Ибо мудрость этого мира — глупость в глазах Бога. В Писании сказано: "Бог ловит мудрецов их же лукавством", и ещё:

20

And again, [The] Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.

20

"Господь знает, что мысли мудрецов суетны".

21

So that let no one boast in men; for all things are yours.

21

И потому никто не должен похваляться людьми, ибо всё принадлежит вам,

22

Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or [the] world, or life, or death, or things present, or things coming, all are yours;
