But when I saw that they do not walk straightforwardly, according to the truth of the glad tidings, I said to Peter before all, If *thou*, being a Jew, livest as the nations and not as the Jews, how dost thou compel the nations to Judaize?

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

Но когда я увидел, что они не прямо поступают по истине Евангельской, то сказал Петру при всех: если ты, будучи Иудеем, живёшь по-язычески, а не по-иудейски, то для чего язычников принуждаешь жить по-иудейски?

Та коли я побачив, що вони не ходять право за євангельською правдою, то перед усіма сказав Кифі: Коли ти, бувши юдеєм, живеш по-поганському, а не по-юдейському, то як ти можеш силувати поган, щоб жили по-юдейському?

Та, як побачив я, що вони неправо ходять по євангелській істинї, то я сказав Петрові перед усїма: коли ти, бувши Жидовином, живеш попоганськи, а не пожидівськи, то на що примушуєш поган жити пожидівськи? -
Коли я побачив, що вони не поводяться згідно з істиною Доброї Звістки, то перед усіма сказав Петрові: «Коли ти, юдей, живеш, як поганин, а не як юдей, то як же ти можеш примушувати поган дотримуватися юдейських звичаїв?

А коли я побачив, що не йдуть вони рівно за єва́нгельською правдою, то перед усіма сказав Кифі: „Коли ти, бувши юдеєм, живеш по-поганському, а не по-юдейському, то на́що поган ти примушуєш жити по-юдейському“?

Когда я увидел, что они поступают не в согласии с истиной Радостной Вести, я сказал Кифе в присутствии всех: «Ты иудей, но живешь как язычник, а не как иудей. Зачем же ты заставляешь язычников следовать иудейским традициям?»
