Darby Bible Translation

New Living Translation

  • Bear One Another's Burdens

Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest *thou* also be tempted.
  • We Harvest What We Plant

Dear brothers and sisters, if another believera is overcome by some sin, you who are godlyb should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.
  • Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfil the law of the Christ.
  • Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
  • For if any man reputes himself to be something, being nothing, he deceives himself;
  • If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.
  • but let each prove his own work, and then he will have his boast in what belongs to himself alone, and not in what belongs to another.
  • Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.
  • For each shall bear his own burden.
  • For we are each responsible for our own conduct.
  • Let him that is taught in the word communicate to him that teaches in all good things.
  • Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them.
  • Be not deceived: God is not mocked; for whatever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap.
  • Don’t be misled — you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
  • For he that sows to his own flesh, shall reap corruption from the flesh; but he that sows to the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap eternal life:
  • Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
  • but let us not lose heart in doing good; for in due time, if we do not faint, we shall reap.
  • So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
  • So then, as we have occasion, let us do good towards all, and specially towards those of the household of faith.
  • Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone — especially to those in the family of faith.
  • Paul's Final Warning

See how long a letter I have written to you with my own hand.

  • Paul’s Final Advice

Notice what large letters I use as I write these closing words in my own handwriting.
  • As many as desire to have a fair appearance in [the] flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not be persecuted because of the cross of Christ.
  • Those who are trying to force you to be circumcised want to look good to others. They don’t want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Christ alone can save.
  • For neither do they that are circumcised themselves keep the law; but they wish you to be circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh.
  • And even those who advocate circumcision don’t keep the whole law themselves. They only want you to be circumcised so they can boast about it and claim you as their disciples.
  • But far be it from me to boast save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom [the] world is crucified to me, and I to the world.
  • As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross,c my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died.
  • For [in Christ Jesus] neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision; but new creation.
  • It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation.
  • Benediction

And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace upon them and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
  • May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.d
  • For the rest let no one trouble me, for *I* bear in my body the brands of the Lord Jesus.
  • From now on, don’t let anyone trouble me with these things. For I bear on my body the scars that show I belong to Jesus.
  • The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit, brethren. Amen.
  • Dear brothers and sisters,e may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
