Paul's Greeting

Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by God's will, to the saints and faithful in Christ Jesus who are at Ephesus.

1

Павло, з Божої волі апостол Ісуса Христа, — святим у Ефесі й вірним в Ісусі Христі. [1]

Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

Благодать і мир вам від Бога, нашого Отця, і Господа Ісуса Христа!

Spiritual Blessings

Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ;

Благословенний Бог і Отець Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, Який поблагословив нас усяким духовним благословенням на небесах у Христі.

4

according as he has chosen us in him before [the] world's foundation, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love;

Оскільки Він вибрав нас у Ньому раніше від створення світу, щоб ми були святі й непорочні перед Ним у любові,

5

having marked us out beforehand for adoption through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

to [the] praise of [the] glory of his grace, wherein he has taken us into favour in the Beloved:

in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of offences, according to the riches of his grace;

У Ньому маємо викуплення Його кров’ю, прощення переступів, згідно з багатством Його благодаті,

which he has caused to abound towards us in all wisdom and intelligence,

8

яку Він безмірно помножив у нас у всякій мудрості та розумінні,

9

having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself

9

відкривши нам таємницю Своєї волі, за Своїм уподобанням, яке раніше наперед ухвалив у Ньому

10

for [the] administration of the fulness of times; to head up all things in the Christ, the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth; in him,

10

для впорядкування повноти часів, щоб об’єднати в Христі все те, що на небі та що на землі.

11

in whom we have also obtained an inheritance, being marked out beforehand according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his own will,

У Ньому й ми стали спадкоємцями, які були наперед призначені за передбаченням Того, Хто все здійснює за рішенням Своєї волі,

12

that we should be to [the] praise of his glory who have pre-trusted in the Christ:

12

щоб ми були для прославлення Його величі, ми, які раніше мали надію на Христа.

13

in whom *ye* also [have trusted], having heard the word of the truth, the glad tidings of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, ye have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

13

У Ньому й ви, почувши слово правди, Радісну Звістку нашого спасіння, та повіривши в Нього, були відзначені печаттю, Святим Духом обітниці,

14

who is [the] earnest of our inheritance to the redemption of the acquired possession to [the] praise of his glory.

Який є завдатком нашої спадщини для викуплення придбаного, для прославлення Його величі!

15

Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom

Wherefore *I* also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which [is] in you, and the love which [ye have] towards all the saints,

15

Тому і я, почувши про вашу віру в Господа Ісуса та про любов до всіх святих,

16

do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention [of you] at my prayers,

16

не перестаю дякувати за вас, згадуючи [вас] у своїх молитвах,

17

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give you [the] spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him,

17

щоби Бог Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, Отець слави, дав вам Духа мудрості й відкриття для Його пізнання,

18

being enlightened in the eyes of your heart, so that ye should know what is the hope of his calling, [and] what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

18

просвітивши очі вашого серця, щоб ви знали, якою є надія Його покликання, яке багатство слави Його спадщини у святих,

19

and what the surpassing greatness of his power towards us who believe, according to the working of the might of his strength,

19

яка неосяжна велич Його сили в нас, котрі віримо в дію могутності Його сили,

20

[in] which he wrought in the Christ [in] raising him from among [the] dead, and he set him down at his right hand in the heavenlies,

20

що Він її здійснив у Христі, воскресивши Його з мертвих і посадивши праворуч Себе на небесах, —

21

above every principality, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in that to come;

21

вище від усякого начальства, влади, сили, панування і всякого імені, яким іменують не тільки в теперішньому віці, але й у майбутньому.

22

and has put all things under his feet, and gave him [to be] head over all things to the assembly,

22

І Він усе підкорив під Його ноги і поставив Його над усім — як Голову Церкви,

23

which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all in all:

23

яка є Його тілом, повнотою Того, Хто наповняє все в усьому!
