Children and Parents

Children, obey your parents in [the] Lord, for this is just.

1

Дети, повинуйтесь родителям своим, как угодно Богу, ибо это правильно.

Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,

"Чти отца и мать свою", — вот что гласит первая заповедь вместе с обещанием,

that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest be long-lived on the earth.

что "тогда всё будет хорошо у тебя, и ждёт тебя долгая жизнь на земле".

And [ye] fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in [the] discipline and admonition of [the] Lord.

Родители же, не ввергайте ваших детей во гнев, а растите их в согласии с учением и наставлениями Господними.

5

Slaves and Masters

Bondmen, obey masters according to flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as to the Christ;

5

Рабы, повинуйтесь вашим земным хозяевам со страхом и трепетом, и искренностью в сердце, как повиновались бы вы Христу.

not with eye-service as men-pleasers; but as bondmen of Christ, doing the will of God from [the] soul,

Трудитесь не только тогда, когда наблюдают за вами, как если бы искали вы одобрения людского, а трудитесь, как слуги Христовы, от всего сердца исполняющие волю Божью.

7

serving with good will as to the Lord, and not to men;

7

Трудитесь со рвением, как если бы служили вы Господу, а не людям.

8

knowing that whatever good each shall do, this he shall receive of [the] Lord, whether bond or free.

Помните, что если каждый из вас совершит что-то хорошее, то это вернётся к нему обратно от Господа, будь он рабом или свободным человеком.

And, masters, do the same things towards them, giving up threatening, knowing that both their and your Master is in heaven, and there is no acceptance of persons with him.

А вы, хозяева, обращайтесь с рабами точно так же и оставьте свои угрозы. Помните, что и ваш хозяин и их — на небе и что Он никому не оказывает предпочтения.

The Full Armor of God

For the rest, brethren, be strong in [the] Lord, and in the might of his strength.

10

И наконец, скажу: укрепитесь в вере в Бога и великую силу Его.

11

Put on the panoply of God, that ye may be able to stand against the artifices of the devil:

11

Облачитесь в доспехи Божьи, чтобы противостоять всем проискам дьявольским.

12

because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [power] of wickedness in the heavenlies.

12

Ибо мы боремся не против плоти и крови человеческой, а против правителей, против властей, против вселенских сил этого тёмного века и духовных сил зла в небесах.

13

For this reason take [to you] the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.

13

А посему, облачитесь в полные доспехи Божьи, чтобы противостоять, когда настанет чёрный день, и выстоять, сделав всё возможное.

14

Stand therefore, having girt about your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Стойте же твёрдо, препоясавшись истиной. Пусть праведность ваша будет вашей кольчугой.

15

and shod your feet with [the] preparation of the glad tidings of peace:

15

Пусть готовность ваша проповедовать благую весть о мире станет обувью на ваших ногах.

16

besides all [these], having taken the shield of faith with which ye will be able to quench all the inflamed darts of the wicked one.

В дополнение к этому, оснаститесь верой, как щитом, с помощью которого вы сможете загасить все огненные стрелы, выпущенные лукавым.

17

Have also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word;

Спасением пользуйтесь, словно шлемом, и взмахните мечом Духа Святого — посланием Божьим,

Pray Continually

praying at all seasons, with all prayer and supplication in [the] Spirit, and watching unto this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;

18

и в каждой молитве просите, что нужно вам. Молитесь при всяком случае Духом Святым. А посему всегда будьте наготове и молитесь настоятельно за всех людей Божьих

19

and for me in order that utterance may be given to me in [the] opening of my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the glad tidings,

19

и за меня, чтобы было мне послание, так что, когда открою я рот свой, я мог бы смело оповещать о тайной истине благовествования.

20

for which I am an ambassador [bound] with a chain, that I may be bold in it as I ought to speak.

20

Ему я служу, как посланец в цепях. Молитесь, чтобы я смог проповедовать смело, как и следует мне говорить.

Final Greetings

But in order that *ye* also may know what concerns me, how I am getting on, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in [the] Lord, shall make all things known to you;

21

Чтобы вы узнали о делах моих и о том, что делаю я, Тихик, наш брат возлюбленный и преданный слуга Господний, расскажет вам обо всём.

22

whom I have sent to you for this very thing, that ye may know of our affairs and that he may encourage your hearts.

Я посылаю его к вам для того, чтобы вы узнали все новости про меня и чтобы он утешил сердца ваши.

23

Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God [the] Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

23

Мир и любовь вам, братья, и вера от Бога Отца Нашего, и от Господа Иисуса Христа.

24

Grace with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption.

24

Благодать Божья и бессмертие всем тем, кто любит Господа нашего, Иисуса Христа любовью неумирающей.
