Lands Yet Unconquered

And Joshua was old, advanced in age, and Jehovah said to him, Thou art old, advanced in age, and there remaineth yet very much land to take possession of.

1

Я к же був Йозуа вже вельми старий, промовив до нього Господь: Ти вже вельми старий і вбивсь у лїта, а землї не занятої в державу ще дуже багацько.

2

This is the land that yet remaineth: all the districts of the Philistines and all the Geshurites,

Ось яке ще займище зостається: Усї околицї Филистимські й увесь Гессур.

3

from the Shihor, which [floweth] before Egypt, as far as the borders of Ekron northward, [and which] is counted to the Canaanite; five lordships of the Philistines: of Gazah, and of Ashdod, of Eshkalon, of Gath, and of Ekron; also the Avvites;

Від Сихора, що тече на схід сонця від Египту, аж до півношньої границї Екронської, вважаєсь займищем Канаанським; пять князїв Филистимських у нїй: Газський, Азотський, Аскалонський, Гетський, Екронський і Аввійський;

in the south, the whole land of the Canaanites, and Mearah which [belongeth] to the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the border of the Amorites;

На полуднї ж уся земля Канаанська від Меари Сидонської до Афека, до гряниць Аморійських.

5

and the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sun-rising, from Baal-Gad at the foot of mount Hermon to the entrance into Hamath;

5

Також земля Гевла, а там увесь Ливан на схід сонця, від Баал-Гаду під Ермон-горами аж поти, де вона йде на Емат,

6

all the inhabitants of the hill-country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, all the Sidonians; I will dispossess them from before the children of Israel. Only, partition it by lot to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

Усїх нагірних осадників від Ливану до Мизрефот-Маіму, всїх Сидонян я попроганяю сам перед Ізраїльом; тільки подїли їх заздалегідь по жеребу між Ізраїля, як заповідав я тобі;

7

And now divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes, and to half the tribe of Manasseh;

7

Оце ж подїли сю землю у наслїддє девятьом поколїнням та півколїнові Манассієвому.

Inheritance East of Jordan

with him the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them:

Поколїннє ж Рубена та Гада з другою половиною поколїння Манассієвого одержали від Мойсея наслїддє своє на тім боцї на схід сонця від Йорданї, як указав їм Господень раб Мойсей,

9

from Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the ravine, and all the plateau of Medeba to Dibon,

Від Ароера, що на березї Арнон-річки, і місто серед долини, та все подїллє Медева до Дибону,

10

and all the cities of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, to the border of the children of Ammon;

10

І всї городи Сигонові, царя Аморійського, що царював у Езбонї, до границї Аммонїйської;

11

and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and the whole of Bashan to Salcah;

11

Також Галаад і займище Гессурське та Маахське, і всї Ермон-гори, і ввесь Базан до Салхи,

12

all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, who remained of the residue of the giants; and Moses smote them and dispossessed them.

12

Усе царство Огове в Базанї, що панував над Астаротом та Едреєю. Він походив від останнїх Рефаїв-велетнїв. Їх побив Мойсей і повиганяв.

13

But the children of Israel did not dispossess the Geshurites nor the Maachathites; but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites to this day.

13

Але сини Ізрайлеві не прогнали Гесуріїв нї Маахів; і зостались люде Гесурійські й Маахійські між Ізрайльом по сей день.

14

Only to the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance: the offerings by fire of Jehovah the God of Israel are their inheritance, as he said to them.

14

Тільки поколїнню Левіїному не надїлив нїякого паю: жертви та приноси Господа, Бога Ізрайлевого — се наслїддє його, як Господь обітував йому.

15

And Moses gave [a portion] to the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families.

15

І так надїлив Мойсей поколїнню Рубена наслїдню державу після родів їх:

16

And their territory was from Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the ravine, and all the plateau by Medeba;

16

Границя їх була від Ароера, що на березї Арнон-річки, і місто, що посеред долини і все поділлє під Медевою,

17

Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plateau, Dibon, and Bamoth-Baal, and Beth-Baal-meon,

17

Гесбон і всї міста, що на рівнинї, і Дибон і Бамот-Баал і Бет-Баал-Меон,

18

And Jahzah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

18

Яаца, Кедемот, Мефаат,

19

and Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar in the mountain of the vale,

19

Киріатаім, Сивма, і Церет-Сахар на горі Емек,

20

and Beth-Peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;

20

Бет-Фегор, і Азедот, Фасга, і Бет-Есимот,

21

all the cities of the plateau, and the whole kingdom of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, whom Moses smote, him and the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the chiefs of Sihon dwelling in the land.

І всї городи на поділлї і все царство Сигона, царя Аморійського, що царював у Езбонї, що його убив Мойсей укупі з князями Мадіямськими, Евієм і Рекемом і Зуром і Гуром і Ребою, князями Сигоновими, що панували в тій землї;

22

Balaam Slain

And Balaam the son of Beor, the diviner, did the children of Israel kill with the sword among them that were slain by them.

22

А віщуна Білеама Беоренка убили сини Ізрайлеві разом з иншими, що їх побили мечем.

23

And the border of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and [its] border. This is the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and their hamlets.

23

А (західню) границю в Рубенїїв робила скрізь Йордань. Се було наслїддє Рубенїїв, по родах їх, містах і селах їх.

24

And Moses gave [a portion] to the tribe of Gad, to the children of Gad according to their families.

24

І надїлив Мойсей поколїнню Гадовому, синам Гадовим, земельню державу по родах їх:

25

And their territory was Jaazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, to Aroer which is before Rabbah;

25

Границя була Язер і всї міста Галаадські, та половина землї Аммонїйської до Ароера, що стоїть на захід сонця від Рабби,

26

and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;

26

Та від Гесбона до Рамат-Мицфи і Бетониму, і від Маганаїму до займища Дебирського.

27

and in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon the king of Heshbon, the Jordan and [its] border, as far as the edge of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.

Далїй на поділлї Бет-Гарам і Бет-Нимра і Сихот і Зафон, останок царства Сигонового, царя Езбонського, з Йорданню яко гряницею аж до полуденнього конця Киннеретського моря, по тім боцї Йорданї на схід сонця.

28

This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and their hamlets.

28

Се наслїдня держава (деяких) родин Гадових, міста й села їх.

29

And Moses gave [a portion] to half the tribe of Manasseh; and for half the tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families:

29

Мойсей надїлив і половинї поколїння Манассієвого земельну державу; надїлив же ось чим (деякі) родини в півколїнї Манассієвому.

30

their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.

30

Займище їх простягалось від Маганаіма через увесь Базан, через усе царство Огове, царя Базанського і через усї села Яірові в Базанї, шістьдесять міст;

31

And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [belonged] to the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, to the one half of the children of Machir according to their families.

31

А половина Галааду, та Астарот і Едрея, головні городи в царстві Ога, царя Базанського, досталось синам Махировим Манассієнковим, половинї синів Махирових, по родам їх.

32

This is that which Moses allotted for inheritance in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan of Jericho, eastward.

32

От що дав Мойсей у степах Моабійських, по тім боцї Йорданї, на схід сонця навпроти Ерихону.

33

But to the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance: Jehovah the God of Israel is their inheritance, as he said to them.

33

Однакже поколїнню Левіїному не надїлив Мойсей нїякого наслїддя: Господь, Бог Ізрайлїв він сам їх наслїддє, як він й обітував їм.
