Jesus Our Apostle and High Priest

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of [the] heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus,

1

И потому, святые братья, призванные Богом, храните в мыслях Иисуса- Посланника и Первосвященника веры нашей.

2

who is faithful to him that has constituted him, as Moses also in all his house.

Он был верен Тому, Кто сделал Его Первосвященником, как был верен Моисей, и делал в Доме Божьем всё, что было угодно Богу.

For *he* has been counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, by how much he that has built it has more honour than the house.

Ибо Иисус был удостоен больших почестей, чем Моисей, подобно тому как строителю дома оказывают больше почестей, чем дому.

For every house is built by some one; but he who has built all things [is] God.

Ибо всякий дом построен кем-то, Бог же создал всё и вся.

And Moses indeed [was] faithful in all his house, as a ministering servant, for a testimony of the things to be spoken after;

Моисей был верным слугой в Доме Божьем и рассказывал людям о том, что Бог скажет в будущем.

but Christ, as Son over his house, whose house are *we*, if indeed we hold fast the boldness and the boast of hope firm to the end.

Христос верен, как подобает Сыну, который правит Домом Божьим. Мы же и есть этот Дом Божий, если только до конца сохраним мужество и уверенность в великой надежде.

Do Not Harden Your Hearts

Wherefore, even as says the Holy Spirit, To-day if ye will hear his voice,

Поэтому, как говорит Святой Дух: "Если сегодня услышите вы голос Божий,

harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness;

8

то не упрямьтесь, как тогда, когда вы восстали против Бога в день испытания в пустыне,

9

where your fathers tempted [me], by proving [me], and saw my works forty years.

где ваши отцы испытывали Меня и сорок лет были свидетелями Моего могущества.

10

Wherefore I was wroth with this generation, and said, They always err in heart; and *they* have not known my ways;

10

Вот почему Я разгневался на них и сказал, что они всегда неправедны в своих мыслях. Они никогда не понимали Меня.

so I swore in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest.

11

И вот в гневе Своём Я поклялся: эти люди никогда не войдут в Мой покой".

The Dangers of Unbelief

See, brethren, lest there be in any one of you a wicked heart of unbelief, in turning away from [the] living God.

12

Будьте осторожны, братья, чтобы ни у кого из вас не оказалось неверующее сердце, которое отвернётся от Бога живого.

13

But encourage yourselves each day, as long as it is called To-day, that none of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

13

Но поощряйте друг друга каждодневно, пока ещё "сегодня", чтобы никто из вас не оказался обманутым грехом и не очерствел в упрямстве.

14

For we are become companions of the Christ if indeed we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end;

Ибо все мы будем причастниками Христу, если до конца будем твёрдо держаться с уверенностью, которую имели вначале.

15

in that it is said, To-day if ye will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation;

Как сказано в Писании: "Если вы сегодня услышите голос Божий, не упрямьтесь, как тогда, когда восстали против Бога."

16

(for who was it, who, having heard, provoked? but [was it] not all who came out of Egypt by Moses?

Кто были услышавшие голос Божий и восставшие против Него? Разве это были не те, кого Моисей вывел из Египта?

17

And with whom was he wroth forty years? [Was it] not with those who had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

17

И на кого разгневан был Бог в течение сорока лет? Разве не на тех, кто согрешил и упал мёртвым в пустыне?

18

And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to those who had not hearkened to the word?

18

Кому поклялся Бог, что они никогда не войдут в Его покой? Разве не тем, кто ослушался?

19

And we see that they could not enter in on account of unbelief;)

Итак, мы видим, что они не могли войти в Его покой за своё неверие.
