The First Six Bowls of Wrath

And I heard a great voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, Go and pour out the seven bowls of the fury of God upon the earth.

Затем я услышал громкий голос из храма, говорящий семи ангелам:
— Идите и вылейте семь чаш Божьей ярости на землю.

And the first went and poured out his bowl on the earth; and there came an evil and grievous sore upon the men that had the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped its image.

Первый ангел пошел и вылил содержимое своей чаши на сушу. После этого у людей, имеющих клеймо зверя и поклоняющихся его изображению, появились ужасные и болезненные нарывы.105

And the second poured out his bowl on the sea; and it became blood, as of a dead man; and every living soul died in the sea.

Второй ангел вылил содержимое своей чаши в море, и вода моря превратилась в кровь, напоминающую кровь мертвеца, и все живое в море умерло.

And the third poured out his bowl on the rivers, and [on] the fountains of waters; and they became blood.

Третий ангел вылил содержимое своей чаши на реки и на источники вод, и те также превратились в кровь.106

And I heard the angel of the waters saying, Thou art righteous, who art and wast, the holy one, that thou hast judged so;

Я слышал, как ангел, имеющий власть над водами, сказал:

— Справедлив Ты,
Тот, Кто есть и Кто был, Святой,
потому что Ты так судил.

for they have poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; they are worthy.

Ведь они пролили кровь святых и пророков,
и Ты дал им пить кровь, как они и заслужили.

And I heard the altar saying, Yea, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous [are] thy judgments.

И я услышал, как голос от жертвенника сказал:

— Да, Господь Бог Вседержитель,
Твои суды истинны и справедливы!

And the fourth poured out his bowl on the sun; and it was given to it to burn men with fire.

Четвертый ангел вылил содержимое своей чаши на солнце, и солнцу дано было палить людей огнем.

And the men were burnt with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who had authority over these plagues, and did not repent to give him glory.

Их жгла невыносимая жара, и они проклинали имя Бога, имеющего власть над этими бедствиями. Но они не раскаялись и не воздали Ему славу.107

And the fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast; and its kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues with distress,

Пятый ангел вылил содержимое своей чаши на трон зверя, и все царство зверя погрузилось во тьму.108 Люди от боли кусали свои языки

and blasphemed the God of the heaven for their distresses and their sores, and did not repent of their works.

And the sixth poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates; and its water was dried up, that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun might be prepared.

Шестой ангел вылил содержимое своей чаши в великую реку Евфрат. Вода в этой реке высохла, чтобы был готов путь царям с востока.

13

And I saw out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, as frogs;

Потом я увидел, как из пасти дракона, из пасти зверя и изо рта лжепророка109 вышли три нечистых духа, похожие на лягушек.110

14

for they are [the] spirits of demons, doing signs; which go out to the kings of the whole habitable world to gather them together to the war of [that] great day of God the Almighty.

Это духи демонов, совершающие знамения. Они отправляются к царям всей земли, чтобы собрать их на битву в великий день Бога Вседержителя.111

15

(Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watches and keeps his garments, that he may not walk naked, and that they [may not] see his shame.)

— Вот! Я приду неожиданно, как вор! Блажен тот, кто бодрствует и хранит свою одежду, чтобы ему не ходить нагим, выставляя напоказ свою срамоту.112

And he gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armagedon.

Они собрали всех царей на место, называемое по-еврейски Армагеддон.113

The Seventh Bowl of Wrath

And the seventh poured out his bowl on the air; and there came out a great voice from the temple of the heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

Седьмой ангел вылил содержимое своей чаши в воздух, и из храма от трона прозвучал громкий голос:
— Совершилось!

And there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, such an earthquake, so great.

Тогда засверкали молнии, зазвучали голоса, загремел гром, и произошло сильное землетрясение. Такого мощного землетрясения не было за все время существования людей на земле! Столь великим было это землетрясение!

19

And the great city was [divided] into three parts; and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon was remembered before God to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath.

Великий город раскололся на три части, и города народов пали. Так Бог не забыл великий Вавилон, Он дал ему выпить чашу, полную вина Его яростного гнева.

20

And every island fled, and mountains were not found;

Исчезли все острова, и гор больше не стало.

21

and a great hail, as of a talent weight, comes down out of the heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, for the plague of it is exceeding great.

На людей с небес падал град весом в один талант,114 и люди проклинали Бога за это бедствие с градом, потому что оно было совершенно ужасным.115
