God's People will Be Preserved

And after this I saw four angels standing upon the four corners of the earth, holding fast the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow upon the earth, nor upon the sea, nor upon any tree.

Потом я увидел четырех ангелов: они стояли на четырех углах земли и удерживали четыре ветра земли, чтобы те не дули ни на землю, ни на море, ни на какое дерево.

And I saw another angel ascending from [the] sunrising, having [the] seal of [the] living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it had been given to hurt the earth and the sea,

Я увидел еще одного ангела: он поднимался с востока и держал печать живого Бога. Он громко крикнул четырем ангелам, которым было дано право причинять вред земле и морю:

saying, Hurt not the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, until we shall have sealed the bondmen of our God upon their foreheads.

— Не причиняйте вреда ни земле, ни морю, ни деревьям, пока мы не отметим слуг нашего Бога, поставив печать им на лоб.51

144,000 Sealed

And I heard the number of the sealed, a hundred [and] forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of [the] sons of Israel:

Я услышал число отмеченных печатью. Было отмечено 144 000 человек, и это были люди из всех родов Израиля:

out of [the] tribe of Juda, twelve thousand sealed; out of [the] tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand; out of [the] tribe of Gad, twelve thousand;

Praise from the Great Multitude

After these things I saw, and lo, a great crowd, which no one could number, out of every nation and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palm branches in their hands.

Потом я увидел огромное, неисчислимое множество народа. Там были люди из каждого рода, каждого племени, каждого народа и каждого языка. Они стояли перед троном и перед Ягненком. На них были белые одежды, и в руках они держали пальмовые ветви.52

And they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb.

Они громко восклицали:

— Спасение у Бога нашего,
сидящего на троне,
и у Ягненка!

And all the angels stood around the throne, and the elders, and the four living creatures, and fell before the throne upon their faces, and worshipped God,

Все ангелы стояли вокруг трона, старцев и четырех живых существ. Они пали перед троном на свои лица и поклонились Богу.

saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and strength, to our God, to the ages of ages. Amen.

Они говорили:

Аминь!
Хвала и слава,
мудрость и благодарность,
честь, власть и сила
у нашего Бога вовеки!
Аминь.

And one of the elders answered, saying to me, These who are clothed with white robes, who are they, and whence came they?

Затем один из старцев спросил меня:
— Кто эти люди, одетые в белые одежды? Откуда они пришли?

14

And I said to him, My lord, *thou* knowest. And he said to me, These are they who come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Я ответил:
— Ты знаешь, господин мой.
Он тогда сказал:
— Это те, кто пришел от великой скорби. Они омыли свою одежду и отбелили ее в крови Ягненка.

15

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple, and he that sits upon the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them.

Поэтому они стоят перед троном Бога
и служат день и ночь в Его храме,
и Сидящий на троне раскинет над ними Свой шатер.

16

They shall not hunger any more, neither shall they thirst any more, nor shall the sun at all fall on them, nor any burning heat;

Они больше не будут голодать
и томиться от жажды,
их больше не будет палить солнце
и никакая жара.

17

because the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them, and shall lead them to fountains of waters of life, and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

17

Ягненок, находящийся посреди трона, будет пасти их
и поведет их к источникам живой воды,
и Сам Бог сотрет всякую слезу с их глаз.53
