The Fifth Trumpet
And the fifth angel sounded [his] trumpet: and I saw a star out of the heaven fallen to the earth; and there was given to it the key of the pit of the abyss.

Пятый ангел затрубил в свою трубу, и я увидел звезду, упавшую с неба на землю. И был ей дан ключ к проходу, ведущему к бездне.
And it opened the pit of the abyss; and there went up smoke out of the pit as [the] smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke of the pit.
И отомкнула она проход, ведущий к бездне, и вышел дым из прохода, словно из огромной печи. И потемнело небо, и солнце потускнело от дыма, валившего из прохода.
And out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them as the scorpions of the earth have power;
А из облака дыма на землю пала саранча, и ей была дана сила, подобная той, что имеют на земле скорпионы.
and it was said to them, that they should not injure the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but the men who have not the seal of God on their foreheads:
Но сказано ей было, чтобы она не вредила ни траве, ни земле, ни растениям, ни деревьям, а только людям, на лбу у которых нет печати Божьей.
and it was given to them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months; and their torment [was] as [the] torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.
И наказ был дан саранче той не убивать их, а мучить болью в течение пяти месяцев. И боль та была подобна боли, которую причиняет скорпион, когда ужалит человека.
And in those days shall men seek death, and shall in no way find it; and shall desire to die, and death flees from them.
И всё это время люди будут искать смерти, но не смогут найти её. Они будут жаждать смерти, но она не придёт к ним.
And the likenesses of the locusts [were] like to horses prepared for war; and upon their heads as crowns like gold, and their faces as faces of men;
Саранча же была похожа на коней, готовых к битве. На головах у саранчи были золотые венцы, а лица их были похожи на человеческие.
and they had hair as women's hair, and their teeth were as of lions,
Волосы у неё были, словно женские волосы, а зубы подобны львиным клыкам.
and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to war;
И грудь у неё была, словно железная броня, а шум её крыльев был подобен грохоту множества колесниц, влекомых скакунами, рвущимися в бой.
and they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and their power [was] in their tails to hurt men five months.
У неё были хвосты с жалами, словно жала скорпионов, и в хвостах было достаточно силы, чтобы вредить людям в течение пяти месяцев.
They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss: his name in Hebrew, Abaddon, and in Greek he has [for] name Apollyon.
И царём у них был ангел, охранявший бездну, а имя ему было Аваддон по-еврейски, по-гречески же назывался он Аполлион.
The first woe has passed. Behold, there come yet two woes after these things.
Первая беда миновала. Но ещё большие две напасти последуют за ней.
The Sixth Trumpet
And the sixth angel sounded [his] trumpet: and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which [is] before God,

Шестой ангел затрубил в свою трубу, и я услышал голос, раздавшийся из четырёх рогов золотого алтаря, находившегося перед Богом.
saying to the sixth angel that had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound at the great river Euphrates.
И сказал голос шестому ангелу с трубой: "Освободи четырёх ангелов, прикованных у великой реки Евфрата".
And the four angels were loosed, who are prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they might slay the third part of men;
И освобождены были четыре ангела, которые были наготове для этого самого часа, дня, месяца и года, чтобы убить одну треть людей.
and the number of the hosts of horse [was] twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number.
Я слышал, сколько там всего было конных — двести миллионов.
And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those that sat upon them, having breastplates of fire and jacinth and brimstone; and the heads of the horses [were] as heads of lions, and out of their mouths goes out fire and smoke and brimstone.
И в моём видении вот как выглядели кони и их всадники. У них были нагрудники огненно-красные, тёмно-синие и жёлтые, словно сера. Головы их были, как львиные головы, а изо рта у них исходил огонь, дым и сера.
By these three plagues were the third part of men killed, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which goes out of their mouths.
И тремя этими напастями убита была одна треть людей — огнём, дымом и серой, что извергались у них изо рта.
For the power of the horses is in their mouth and in their tails: for their tails [are] like serpents, having heads, and with them they injure.
Сила коней была в их ртах и хвостах, ибо хвосты их были словно змеи с головами, жалящие и поражающие людей.
And the rest of men who were not killed with these plagues repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and the golden and silver and brazen and stone and wooden idols, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
Остальные люди, те, кто не был убит этими напастями, не раскаялись в том, что сотворили собственными руками. Они не прекратили поклоняться бесам и идолам золотым, серебряным, медным, каменным и деревянным, которые не могут ни видеть, ни слышать, ни двигаться.
