And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not. Thou hast propounded the riddle to the children of my people, and hast not explained it to me. And he said to her, Behold, I have not explained it to my father nor my mother, and shall I explain it to thee?

And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?

Then Samson’s wife wept on him, and said, “You only hate me! You do not love me! You have posed a riddle to the sons of my people, but you have not explained it to me.”
And he said to her, “Look, I have not explained it to my father or my mother; so should I explain it to you?” -

Then Samson’s wife threw herself on him, sobbing, “You hate me! You don’t really love me. You’ve given my people a riddle, but you haven’t told me the answer.”
“I haven’t even explained it to my father or mother,” he replied, “so why should I explain it to you?” -

“I haven’t even given the answer to my father or mother,” he replied. “Why should I tell you?” -
И плакала жена Самсонова пред ним и говорила: ты ненавидишь меня и не любишь; ты загадал загадку сынам народа моего, а мне не разгадаешь её. Он сказал ей: отцу моему и матери моей не разгадал её; и тебе ли разгадаю?

І заповзялася Самсонова жінка перед ним плакати й промовляти: “Зненавидів ти мене, не любиш уже мене. Загадав моїм землякам загадку, а мені й не звірив розгадати.” І відказав їй: “Рідному батькові-матері не звіривсь, а тобі б то звірятись?”

І плакала молода Самсонова перед ним і казала: Ой противна я тобі, не любиш мене. Загадав єси моїм землякам загадку, а менї й не звіривсь. Відказав їй: Батькові мойму й матері моїй не звіривсь, а тобі б то звірився? -
І плакала Самсонова жінка при ньому сім день і казала: „Ти певне нена́видиш мене й не любиш мене. Ти загадав за́гадку синам мого народу, а мені не розгадав“. А він їй сказав: „Таж батькові своєму та матері своїй не розгадав я, а розгадаю тобі?“

Жена Самсона стала плакать перед ним:
— Ты ненавидишь меня! Ты не любишь меня по-настоящему. Ты загадал моему народу загадку, а мне ответа не сказал.
— Я не открыл его даже отцу и матери, — ответил он. — Почему же я должен открывать его тебе? -
І заплакала жінка Самсона перед ним, і сказала йому: Зненавидів ти мене, і ніколи не любив ти мене, бо загадку, яку задав ти синам мого народу, ти мені її не сповістив! А Самсон їй відповів: Якщо моєму батькові та моїй матері я її не сповістив, то тобі сповіщу?

Жена пришла к Самсону и стала плакать перед ним. "Ты ненавидишь меня! Ты не любишь меня! Ты загадал моему народу загадку, а мне не хочешь сказать ответ", — сказала она. Самсон же сказал ей: "Я не разгадал её ни отцу моему, ни матери. Почему я должен разгадать её тебе?".
