And when the men of Israel turned back in the battle, Benjamin began to smite, slaying of the men of Israel about thirty men; for they said, Surely they are quite routed before us as in the first battle.

And when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, as in the first battle.

The Benjamites had begun to inflict casualties on the Israelites (about thirty), and they said, “We are defeating them as in the first battle.” -

When the Israelites saw the smoke, they turned and attacked Benjamin’s warriors.
By that time Benjamin’s warriors had killed about thirty Israelites, and they shouted, “We’re defeating them as we did in the first battle!” -

Як же Ізрайлитяне повернулись нїби навтеки, а Беняминїї почали Ізраїлїв побивати з трийцять чоловіка, бо думали: Подужали ми їх як і в першому бою, -
І відступили ізраїльтяни в бою, а Веніямин зачав класти трупи в Ізраїлі, близько тридцятеро люда, бо казали вони: „Дійсно, справді побитий він перед нами, як за першого бою!“

Вениамитяне уже начали наносить израильтянам потери, убив около тридцати из них; они думали: «Конечно, мы бьем их, как и в первой битве». -
І повернули назад ізраїльські мужі в битві, і Веніамін почав побивати ранених поміж ізраїльських мужів, якихось тридцять чоловік, бо сказали: Вони таки справді змушені втікати [1] перед нами, як і під час попередньої битви!
