When the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was torn down, and the Asherah which was beside it was cut down, and the second bull was offered on the altar which had been built. -
Early the next morning, as the people of the town began to stir, someone discovered that the altar of Baal had been broken down and that the Asherah pole beside it had been cut down. In their place a new altar had been built, and on it were the remains of the bull that had been sacrificed.

Встали мешканці міста рано-вранці й побачили зруйнований жертовник Ваала й Ашеру, що біля нього, порубану, і другого бичка, принесеного в жертву на новоспорудженому жертовнику.

Як же повставали міські люде й родина його вранцї, аж се жертівника Баалового зруйновано й дерево коло його зрубано; другого ж бика принесено в жертву на новопостроєному жертівнику. -
І встали люди того міста рано вранці, аж ось жертівник Ваа́лів розбитий, а святе дерево, що при ньому, пору́бане, а другого бичка прине́сено в жертву на збудованому же́ртівнику.

Утром, когда жители города встали, жертвенник Баала был разрушен, вместе с ним срублен и столб
Ашеры , а второй бык принесен в жертву на новом жертвеннике! -
І мужі міста встали вранці, і ось рознесений жертовник Ваала, а священний гай, що біля нього, вирубаний, і годоване теля принесене у всепалення на збудованому жертовнику.
