And Gideon said to God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once! Let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it, I pray thee, be dry upon the fleece only, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

Then Gideon said to God, “Do not be angry with me, but let me speak just once more: Let me test, I pray, just once more with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, but on all the ground let there be dew.”

И сказал Гедеон Богу: не прогневайся на меня, если ещё раз скажу и ещё только однажды сделаю испытание над шерстью: пусть будет сухо на одной только шерсти, а на всей земле пусть будет роса.

Однак же Гедеон промовив до Бога: “Нехай твій гнів не запалає проти мене, коли ще раз промовлю. Дозволь мені, прошу, зробити ще одну пробу з руном: нехай тільки воно буде сухе, на всій же землі нехай буде роса.”

Однакже Гедеон промовив Господеві: Ой нехай твій гнїв не загориться на мене, коли ще раз промовлю! Дозволь менї ще одну пробу з руном ізробити: нехай воно тілько сухе буде, усюди ж роса впаде на землю! -
І сказав Гедеон до Бога: „Нехай не запа́литься гнів Твій на мене, нехай я скажу́ тільки цей раз, нехай но я спро́бую руно́м тільки цей раз: нехай буде сухо на самім руні́, а на всій землі нехай буде роса́“.

Тогда Гедеон сказал Богу:
— Не гневайся на меня. Позволь мне просить еще лишь раз. Дай мне устроить еще одно испытание с шерстью. На этот раз пусть шерсть останется сухой, а земля вокруг будет покрыта росой. -
Та Ґедеон промовив до Бога: Хай не запалає Твій гнів на мене, — заговорю ще раз. І випробую ще раз на шкурі, тож нехай буде тільки на шкурі сухо, а на всій землі нехай буде роса.
