And the thorn-bush said to the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, come, put confidence in my shadow; but if not, fire shall come out of the thorn-bush and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

And the bramble said to the trees,
‘If in truth you anoint me as king over you,
Then come and take shelter in my shade;
But if not, let fire come out of the bramble
And devour the cedars of Lebanon!’ -

“The thornbush said to the trees, ‘If you really want to anoint me king over you, come and take refuge in my shade; but if not, then let fire come out of the thornbush and consume the cedars of Lebanon!’ -

And the thornbush replied to the trees,

If not, let fire come out from me
and devour the cedars of Lebanon.’” -
Терновник сказал деревам: если вы по истине поставляете меня царём над собою, то идите, покойтесь под тенью моею; если же нет, то выйдет огонь из терновника и пожжёт кедры Ливанские.

Тернина ж до дерев відказала: Коли ви справді хочете помазати мене царем над вами, то йдіть у моїм холодку ховайтесь; а як ні, вибухне огонь з тернини та й пожере кедри ливанські.

Терновий же колюка відказав деревам: Коли справдї хочете помазати мене на царя над вами, дак ідїте ховайтесь у мойму холодку. Як же не схочете, запалає полумє з тернівки та й пожере кедри Ливанські. -
А терни́на сказала дере́вам: якщо справді мене на царя над собою пома́зуєте, — підійді́ть, похова́йтеся в ті́ні моїй! А як ні, — то ось вийде огонь із терни́ни, та кедри лива́нські поїсть!

И терновник ответил деревьям: «Если вы и вправду хотите помазать меня над собою царем, то приходите, в тени моей покойтесь; но если нет, то пусть выйдет из терновника пламя и пожрет ливанские кедры».

А тернина запитала в дерев: Чи справді ви помазуєте мене на царя над вами? Давайте, довіртеся моєму захисту! Якщо ж ні, нехай вийде вогонь з тернини і пожере ліванські кедри!
