For, [as] Jehovah liveth, who has saved Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall certainly die. And no one answered him among all the people.

For, as the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him.

For as the Lord lives, who saves Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die.” But not a man among all the people answered him.

ибо, — жив Господь, спасший Израиля, — если окажется и на Ионафане, сыне моём, то и он умрёт непременно. Но никто не отвечал ему из всего народа.

Бо — як живий Господь, що дарував Ізраїлеві перемогу! — навіть як Йонатан, син мій, причасний при тому, то смерть йому!» Ніхто з народу не мав відваги йому відповісти.

Бо так вірно, як те, що живе Господь подарувавший Ізраїлеві сьогоднї побіду, коли вона й на синї мойму Йонатанї покажесь, смерть і йому! Та нїхто з усїх людей не відказував йому. -
Бо як живий Господь, що допоміг Ізраїлеві, — якщо він був хоча б на сині моїм Йонатані, то конче помре він!“ Та ніхто не відповів йому з усьо́го наро́ду.

Верно, как и то, что жив Господь, Который спасает Израиль, — если виноват будет даже мой сын Ионафан, он должен будет умереть.
Но никто из народа не проронил ни слова. -
Адже живе Господь, Який спасає Ізраїля, бо якщо дасть відповідь і проти мого сина Йонатана, то він неодмінно помре [4]! Та не було жодного, хто дав би відповідь, серед усього народу.
