So David arose early in the morning and left the flock with a keeper and took the supplies and went as Jesse had commanded him. And he came to the circle of the camp while the army was going out in battle array shouting the war cry. -
So David left the sheep with another shepherd and set out early the next morning with the gifts, as Jesse had directed him. He arrived at the camp just as the Israelite army was leaving for the battlefield with shouts and battle cries.

И встал Давид рано утром, и поручил овец сторожу, и, взяв ношу, пошёл, как приказал ему Иессей, и пришёл к обозу, когда войско выведено было в строй и с криком готовилось к сражению.

Устав Давид уранці, здав на сторожа отару, забрав усе й пустився в дорогу, як йому наказав Єссей. Прибув він до обозу саме тоді, як військо вирушало лавами до бою, вигукуючи військовим кличем.

І встав Давид рано вранці, і полиши́в ота́ру свою на сто́рожа; і взяв та й пішов, як наказав йому Єссей. І ввійшов він до обо́зу, а ві́йсько вихо́дило до бойово́го стро́ю, і підняли́ вони окрик у бою́.

Рано утром Давид оставил стадо другому пастуху, взял ношу и отправился в путь, как велел Иессей. Он добрался до лагеря, когда войско с боевым кличем выходило на свои места.

40 А він узяв свою палицю у свою руку, і вибрав собі п’ять гладких камінців з потічка, і поклав їх у пастушу торбу, що була в нього для складання, і свою пращу взяв у свою руку, і підійшов до чоловіка-филистимця.
