And as he talked with them, behold there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the ranks of the Philistines, and spoke according to the same words; and David heard [them].

Когда он говорил с ними, Голиаф, филистимский воин из Гата, выступил из рядов и прокричал свой обычный вызов на бой, и Давид услышал его.

43 І филистимець звернувся до Давида: Хіба я є наче пес, що ти йдеш проти мене з палицею і камінням? А Давид сказав: Ні, але гірше за пса! І филистимець прокляв Давида своїми богами.
