And Saul said to him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me as a lier-in-wait, as at this day?

And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

Then Saul said to him, “Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day?”

Saul said to him, “Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, giving him bread and a sword and inquiring of God for him, so that he has rebelled against me and lies in wait for me, as he does today?” -

“Why have you and the son of Jesse conspired against me?” Saul demanded. “Why did you give him food and a sword? Why have you consulted God for him? Why have you encouraged him to kill me, as he is trying to do this very day?”

И сказал ему Саул: для чего вы сговорились против меня, ты и сын Иессея, что ты дал ему хлебы и меч и вопросил о нём Бога, чтоб он восстал против меня и строил мне ковы, как это ныне видно?

І Саул спитав його: «Чого ви, ти та син Єссея, змовилися проти мене? Ти дав йому хліба, меч і питав Бога про нього, щоб він повстав та засідав на мене, як воно е оце нині.»

І питає Саул: Чого ви, ти да Ессеєнко, проти мене змовились, що ти дав йому хлїба й меча і питав Бога про його, так щоб він виступив проти мене ворогом, як я тепер дознавсь? -
І сказав до нього Саул: „На́що ви змо́вилися на мене, ти та Єссеїв син, коли ти дав йому хліба та меча, і питав для нього Бога, щоб повстав він на мене й чига́в, як цього дня?“

Саул сказал ему:
— Почему вы сговорились против меня, ты и сын Иессея?! Ты дал ему хлеб и меч, спрашивал для него Бога, чтобы он восстал против меня и устроил мне засаду, как он и делает сегодня. -
І сказав йому Саул: Навіщо змовився проти мене, ти і син Єссея, що ти дав йому хліба і меч, і питав за нього в Бога, щоб наставити його проти мене ворогом до цього дня?
