  • Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.
  • The Great Flood

    Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.
  • Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals,a the male and his mate, and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate,
  • You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female;
  • and seven pairsb of the birds of the heavens also, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth.

  • For in seven days I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living thingc that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.”

  • So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.
  • And the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days.
