And all the people were arguing throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “The king delivered us from the hand of our enemies and saved us from the hand of the Philistines, and now he has fled out of the land from Absalom.

And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.

И весь народ во всех коленах Израилевых спорил и говорил: царь избавил нас от рук врагов наших и освободил нас от рук Филистимлян, а теперь сам бежал из земли сей от Авессалома.

Увесь же народ по всїх поколїннях Ізрайлевих перечився між собою й говорив: Царь визволив нас з потали в наших ворогів, визволив із рук Филистіїв, а тепер утїк перед Абессаломом із царства; -
І цар устав та й засів у брамі, а всьому наро́дові доне́сли, говорячи: „Ось цар сидить у брамі!“ І посхо́дився ввесь народ перед царське́ обличчя, а Ізраїль повтікав кожен до своїх наметів.

Во всех родах Израиля люди спорили друг с другом, говоря:
— Царь избавил нас от рук наших врагов; именно он избавил нас от рук филистимлян. Но теперь он бежал из страны из-за Авессалома; -
І цар устав, і сів у брамі, і сповістили всьому народові, кажучи: Ось цар сидить у брамі! І весь народ вийшов перед царя.
А Ізраїль розбігся, кожний до свого поселення. -
