The sons of Judah: Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal.

The Family of Judah

The sons of Judah were Perez, Hezron, [a]Carmi, Hur, and Shobal.

Reaiah the son of Shobal fathered Jahath, and Jahath fathered Ahumai and Lahad. These were the clans of the Zorathites.

And [b]Reaiah the son of Shobal begot Jahath, and Jahath begot Ahumai and Lahad. These were the families of the Zorathites.

These were the sonsa of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash; and the name of their sister was Hazzelelponi,
