If it please the king, let a royal order go out from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes so that it may not be repealed, that Vashti is never again to come before King Ahasuerus. And let the king give her royal position to another who is better than she.

If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.

“Therefore, if it pleases the king, let him issue a royal decree and let it be written in the laws of Persia and Media, which cannot be repealed, that Vashti is never again to enter the presence of King Xerxes. Also let the king give her royal position to someone else who is better than she. -

“So if it please the king, we suggest that you issue a written decree, a law of the Persians and Medes that cannot be revoked. It should order that Queen Vashti be forever banished from the presence of King Xerxes, and that the king should choose another queen more worthy than she.

Если благоугодно царю, пусть выйдет от него царское постановление и впишется в законы Персидские и Мидийские и не отменяется, о том, что Астинь не будет входить пред лицо царя Артаксеркса, а царское достоинство её царь передаст другой, которая лучше её.

Коли, отже, цареві це довподоби, нехай вийде від нього царська ухвала й запишеться в закони перські та мідійські як невідклична, саме: цариця Вашті не з'явиться вже більше перед царем Ксерксом, а її царське достоїнство цар передасть іншій, що ліпша від неї.

Якщо цареві це добре, нехай ви́йде царськи́й нака́з від нього й нехай буде записане в зако́нах Персії та Мідії, і нехай не поминеться, щоб Вашті більш не прихо́дила перед обличчя царя Ахашвероша, а її царюва́ння цар дасть іншій, ліпшій від неї.

Поэтому, если угодно царю, пусть он издаст указ, что Астинь никогда больше не войдет к царю Ксерксу. Пусть это будет занесено в законы Персии и Мидии, которые не отменяются. И пусть царь отдаст ее царский сан другой, которая будет лучше нее.

Отже, якщо цар вважає, нехай буде виданий царський наказ, і нехай напишеться за законами мідійців і персів, і хай не буде іншого потрібно, і нехай цариця більше не ввійде до нього, і нехай цар дасть її царство жінці, кращій за неї.
