А ввесь чин його сили та його лица́рских діл, і вира́зний о́пис вели́чности Мордеха́я, що звели́чив його цар, — ось вони опи́сані в Книзі Хронік царів мідійських та перських.
For Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Ahasuerus, and he was great among the Jews and popular with the multitude of his brothers, for he sought the welfare of his people and spoke peace to all his people.
Бо юде́янин Мордеха́й був другий по царі Ахашверо́ші, і великий для юдеїв, і милий для багатьох братів своїх, який шукав добра для наро́ду свого й говорив „мир!“ для всіх наща́дків своїх.
