King James Bible

  • Give Thanks to the Lord

    Of David.

    I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart;
    before the gods I sing your praise;
  • I Will Give Thanks with My Whole Heart

    {A Psalm of David.} I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
  • I bow down toward your holy temple
    and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness,
    for you have exalted above all things
    your name and your word.a
  • I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
  • On the day I called, you answered me;
    my strength of soul you increased.b
  • In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
  • All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord,
    for they have heard the words of your mouth,
  • All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
  • and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord,
    for great is the glory of the Lord.
  • Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.
  • For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly,
    but the haughty he knows from afar.
  • Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
  • Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
    you preserve my life;
    you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
    and your right hand delivers me.
  • Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
  • The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
    your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
    Do not forsake the work of your hands.
  • The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
