In the Day of Trouble I Seek the Lord

To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.

I cry aloud to God,
aloud to God, and he will hear me.

Учение Асафа. Внимай, народ мой, закону моему, приклоните ухо ваше к словам уст моих.

2

In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;
in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying;
my soul refuses to be comforted.

Открою уста мои в притче и произнесу гадания из древности.

3

When I remember God, I moan;
when I meditate, my spirit faints. Selah

3

Что слышали мы и узнали, и отцы наши рассказали нам,

4

You hold my eyelids open;
I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

4

не скроем от детей их, возвещая роду грядущему славу Господа, и силу Его, и чудеса Его, которые Он сотворил.

I consider the days of old,
the years long ago.

Он постановил устав в Иакове и положил закон в Израиле, который заповедал отцам нашим возвещать детям их,

I said,a “Let me remember my song in the night;
let me meditate in my heart.”
Then my spirit made a diligent search:

чтобы знал грядущий род, дети, которые родятся, и чтобы они в своё время возвещали своим детям, —

“Will the Lord spurn forever,
and never again be favorable?

возлагать надежду свою на Бога, и не забывать дел Божиих, и хранить заповеди Его,

8

Has his steadfast love forever ceased?
Are his promises at an end for all time?

и не быть подобными отцам их, роду упорному и мятежному, неустроенному сердцем и неверному Богу духом своим.

9

Has God forgotten to be gracious?
Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah

Сыны Ефремовы, вооружённые, стреляющие из луков, обратились назад в день брани:

10

Then I said, “I will appeal to this,
to the years of the right hand of the Most High.”b

они не сохранили завета Божия и отреклись ходить в законе Его;

11

I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
yes, I will remember your wonders of old.

забыли дела Его и чудеса, которые Он явил им.

12

I will ponder all your work,
and meditate on your mighty deeds.

Он пред глазами отцов их сотворил чудеса в земле Египетской, на поле Цоан:

13

Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is great like our God?

13

разделил море, и провёл их через него, и поставил воды стеною;

14

You are the God who works wonders;
you have made known your might among the peoples.

14

и днём вёл их облаком, а во всю ночь светом огня;

15

You with your arm redeemed your people,
the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah

15

рассёк камень в пустыне и напоил их, как из великой бездны;

16

When the waters saw you, O God,
when the waters saw you, they were afraid;
indeed, the deep trembled.

из скалы извёл потоки, и воды потекли, как реки.

17

The clouds poured out water;
the skies gave forth thunder;
your arrows flashed on every side.

Но они продолжали грешить пред Ним и раздражать Всевышнего в пустыне:

18

The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind;
your lightnings lighted up the world;
the earth trembled and shook.

18

искушали Бога в сердце своём, требуя пищи по душе своей,

19

Your way was through the sea,
your path through the great waters;
yet your footprints were unseen.c

19

и говорили против Бога и сказали: «может ли Бог приготовить трапезу в пустыне?»

20

You led your people like a flock
by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

20

Вот, Он ударил в камень, и потекли воды, и полились ручьи. «Может ли Он дать и хлеб, может ли приготовлять мясо народу Своему?»
