And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.

And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat. -

The Israelites were puzzled when they saw it. “What is it?” they asked each other. They had no idea what it was.

Увидев их, израильтяне говорили друг другу:
— Что это?
Они не знали, что это такое. Моисей сказал им:
— Это хлеб, который Господь дал вам в пищу. -
Побачивши це, сини Ізраїля сказали один одному: Що це? [1] Оскільки вони не знали, що це було. А Мойсей сказав їм: Це хліб, який Господь дав вам їсти.
