Scarcely had I passed them
when I found him whom my soul loves.
I held him, and would not let him go
until I had brought him into my mother’s house,
and into the chamber of her who conceived me.

It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.

Но едва я отошла от них, как нашла того, которого любит душа моя, ухватилась за него, и не отпустила его, доколе не привела его в дом матери моей и во внутренние комнаты родительницы моей.

Ледве повз них пройшла я і знайшла того, кого любить моє серце. Схопила я його й не пустила, аж поки не ввела в дім матері моєї, у покій тієї, що мене зачала.

Ледві з ними розминулась, аж і знайшла того, що серцем полюбила; вхопилась його й не пустила, аж привела його в господу матері моєї й у сьвітлицї до тієї, що мене вродила. -
Небагато пройшла я від них, — та й знайшла́ я того́, кого́ полю́била душа моя: схопи́ла його, — й не пустила його, аж по́ки його не ввела́ у дім неньки своєї, та в кімна́ту тієї, що в утро́бі носила мене!

Но едва отошла я от них,
как нашла того, кого любит душа моя.
Ухватилась я за него и не отпускала его,
пока не привела его в дом матери моей,
в ту комнату, где она меня зачала.8 -
Як тільки я трохи відійшла від них, аж ось я знайшла того, кого покохала моя душа. Я його схопила і не залишила його, аж доки не ввела його в дім своєї матері й до покою тієї, яка мене зачала.
