Woe to Those Relying on Egypt
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! -
The Folly of Not Trusting God
Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
And rely on horses,
Who trust in chariots because they are many,
And in horsemen because they are very strong,
But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
Nor seek the Lord! -

and in the great strength of their horsemen,

What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help,
trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers
and depending on the strength of human armies
instead of looking to the LORD,

Горе тим, що до Египту за підмогою ходять, і надїю покладають в конях-колесницях, тим що їх багато, а до того й в кіннотї, тим що вона сильна, а на Сьвятого Ізрайлевого не зважають і до Господа не прибігають. -
Горе тим, що в Єгипет по поміч ідуть, що на ко́ней спираються, і на колесни́ці надію свою́ покладають, — вони бо числе́нні! та на верхівці́в, — бо вони дуже сильні! але на Святого Ізраїлевого не дивляться, і до Господа не зверта́ються!

Горе тем, кто идет в Египет за помощью,
кто полагается на коней,
кто верит во множество колесниц
и великую силу всадников,
но не смотрит на Святого Израилева,
и не ищет помощи у Господа. -
Горе вам, які ходите в Єгипет за допомогою, яку надію поклали на коней і на колісниці, бо є багато, і на велику безліч коней! Ви не були тими, хто поклав надію на Святого Ізраїля і не шукали Бога.
