Therefore thus says the Lord:
“If you return, I will restore you,
and you shall stand before me.
If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless,
you shall be as my mouth.
They shall turn to you,
but you shall not turn to them.

The Lord's Promise
Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them. -
The Lord Reassures Jeremiah
Therefore thus says the Lord:
“If you return,
Then I will bring you back;
You shall stand before Me;
If you take out the precious from the vile,
You shall be as My mouth.
Let them return to you,
But you must not return to them. -

that you may serve me;
if you utter worthy, not worthless, words,
you will be my spokesman.
Let this people turn to you,

Before Me you will stand;

They for their part may turn to you,
But as for you, you must not turn to them. -
This is how the LORD responds:
“If you return to me, I will restore you
so you can continue to serve me.
If you speak good words rather than worthless ones,
you will be my spokesman.
You must influence them;
do not let them influence you! -

На сие так сказал Господь: если ты обратишься, то Я восставлю тебя, и будешь предстоять пред лицом Моим; и если извлечёшь драгоценное из ничтожного, то будешь как Мои уста. Они сами будут обращаться к тебе, а не ты будешь обращаться к ним.

А на це Господь так: «Якщо ти навернешся, я приведу тебе знову, стоятимеш передо мною. Як говоритемеш гідно, щиро, станеш моїми устами, тож тії обернуться до тебе, тобі ж не треба буде до них обертатись.

На се так сказав Господь: Як ти навернешся, то я підніму тебе й будеш стояти перед лицем моїм; а як відлучиш дороге від пустого то будеш у мене устами моїми. Вони самі будуть обертатись до тебе, а не ти будеш обертатись до них. -
Тому́ Господь так відказав: Якщо ти наве́рнешся, то тебе́ приверну́, і перед лицем Моїм станеш, а як здобу́деш дорогоці́нне з нікче́много, бу́деш як у́ста Мої: до тебе самі вони зве́рнуться, а не ти до них зве́рнешся!

Так говорит Господь:
— Если покаешься, Я восставлю тебя
и сделаю тебя Своим слугой;
если будешь говорить важное, а не пустословить,
станешь Моими устами.
Пусть они сами к тебе обращаются,
а ты к ним не обращайся. -
Через це так говорить Господь: Якщо повернешся, то відновлю тебе, і станеш перед Моїм обличчям. І якщо виведеш шляхетне з нікчемного, то будеш, як Мої уста. І вони повернуться до тебе, а ти не повернешся до них.
