Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who draws strength from mere flesh
and whose heart turns away from the Lord. -

And whose heart turns away from the LORD. -

“Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans,
who rely on human strength
and turn their hearts away from the LORD. -
