And Balaam took up his discourse and said,
“From Aram Balak has brought me,
the king of Moab from the eastern mountains:
‘Come, curse Jacob for me,
and come, denounce Israel!’

And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

Then Balaam spoke his message:
“Balak brought me from Aram,
the king of Moab from the eastern mountains.
‘Come,’ he said, ‘curse Jacob for me;
come, denounce Israel.’ -

Moab’s king from the mountains of the East,
‘Come curse Jacob for me,
And come, denounce Israel!’ -
This was the message Balaam delivered:
“Balak summoned me to come from Aram;
the king of Moab brought me from the eastern hills.
‘Come,’ he said, ‘curse Jacob for me!
Come and announce Israel’s doom.’ -

И произнёс притчу свою, и сказал: из Месопотамии привёл меня Валак, царь Моава, от гор восточных: «приди, прокляни мне Иакова, приди, изреки зло на Израиля!»

І почав він річ свою і промовив: Закликав мене з Арану Балак у гостину, з гір восточнїх царь Моабський у свою країну: Прийди, будеш ту Якова клясти-проклинати; прийди, будеш в Ізраїля долю відіймати. -
І він виголосив свою припові́стку проро́чу й сказав: „Із Араму мене припрова́див Валак, цар моавський, з гір сходу: Іди ж, прокляни мені Якова, а йди ж, скажи зло на Ізраїля!

И Валаам произнес пророчество:
— Из Арама привел меня Валак,
царь Моава — от гор восточных:
«Приди, прокляни мне Иакова;
приди, обреки Израиль на погибель». -
На ньому був Божий Дух, і, скориставшись своєю притчею, Валаам сказав: З Месопотамії послав за мною Валак, моавський цар, з гір сходу: Прийди і прокляни мені Якова, — прийди і наведи мені прокляття на Ізраїля!
