  • And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.
  • Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
  • Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ.
  • And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.
  • The greatest among you shall be your servant.
  • But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
  • Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
  • And whoever exalts himself will be [e]humbled, and he who humbles himself will be [f]exalted.
  • “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.d
  • “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
