The Wedding at Cana

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples.

When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”

Когда гости выпили всё вино, мать Иисуса сказала Ему: "Вина больше нет".

And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.”

Иисус ответил ей: "О женщина, почему ты Мне это говоришь? Моё время ещё не настало".

His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Мать Иисуса сказала слугам: "Делайте, что Он вам прикажет".

Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.a

Там стояло шесть каменных кувшинов для воды, которую евреи употребляли для омовений. Каждый из них вмещал по две-три меры жидкости.

Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.

Иисус сказал слугам: "Наполните кувшины водой". И они наполнили кувшины до краёв.

And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it.

Тогда Он сказал: "Теперь наберите немного воды и отнесите распорядителю торжества". Они исполнили это.

When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom

И когда распорядитель попробовал воду, превратившуюся в вино, он не знал, откуда взялось вино, слуги же знали. Распорядитель подозвал жениха и сказал ему:

and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.”

"Люди всегда угощают гостей хорошим вином в начале пира. После, когда все опьянеют, подают вино похуже. А почему ты приберегал лучшее вино до сих пор?"

This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

Это было первое из чудес, совершённых Иисусом. Он совершил его в городе Кане в Галилее. Этим Он доказал Своё величие, и его ученики уверовали в Него.

After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothersb and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.

Потом Он направился в Капернаум. Мать Иисуса, Его братья и ученики отправились вместе с Ним, и все они провели в Капернауме несколько дней.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Так как приближалась иудейская Пасха, Иисус отправился в Иерусалим.

In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there.

В храме Он увидел людей, продававших крупный скот, овец и голубей, увидел Он и менял за их столами.

And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables.

Тогда Иисус свил из верёвки кнут, выгнал их всех из храма вместе со скотом и овцами, опрокинул столы менял и рассыпал их монеты.

And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.”

Тем же, кто торговал голубями, Иисус сказал: "Уберите их отсюда! Не превращайте дом Отца Моего в рынок!"

His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”

Когда всё это случилось, ученики Иисуса вспомнили, что записано в Писаниях: "Ревность о доме Твоём снедает меня".

So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?”

Иудеи сказали Иисусу в ответ: "Яви нам чудо, чтобы мы убедились, что Ты имеешь право на это".

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

19

Иисус ответил: "Разрушьте этот храм, и Я восстановлю его вновь в три дня".

20

The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple,c and will you raise it up in three days?”

Иудеи сказали: "Люди трудились над постройкой этого храма сорок шесть лет, а Ты собираешься восстановить его в три дня?"

But he was speaking about the temple of his body.

21

Иисус же, говоря о храме, имел в виду Своё Тело.

When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

После того как Иисус воскрес, Его ученики вспомнили, что Иисус это сказал, и поверили в Писания и в то, что Иисус сказал.

Jesus Knows What Is in Man

Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing.

Когда Иисус был в Иерусалиме на празднике Пасхи, то многие уверовали в Него, ибо увидели знамения, которые Он творил.

But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people

24

Но Иисус не доверял им, ибо знал людей.

25

and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.

25

Ему не нужны были ничьи рассказы о человеческой природе, ибо Он знал, что у кого на душе.
