Saul sent messengers to David’s house to watch him, that he might kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, told him, “If you do not escape with your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.”

Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David's wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain. -
Saul also sent messengers to David’s house to watch him and to kill him in the morning. And Michal, David’s wife, told him, saying, “If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.”

И послал Саул слуг в дом к Давиду, чтобы стеречь его и убить его до утра. И сказала Давиду Мелхола, жена его: если ты не спасёшь души твоей в эту ночь, то завтра будешь убит.

І послав Саул слуг в Давидову домівку стерегти його, щоб завтра вбити його. Та Мелхола, жінка його, сказала Давидові: Коли ти не спасеш життя твого в сю ніч, то вранцї будеш убитий. -
І послав Саул посланців до Давидового дому, щоб стерегли його й щоб убили його вранці. І розповіла́ Давидові його жінка Мелхола, говорячи: „Якщо ти не врятуєш свого життя цієї ночі, то взавтра ти будеш забитий“.

Саул послал людей в дом Давида, чтобы выследить и убить его утром. Но Михаль, жена Давида, предупредила его:
— Если сегодня вечером ты не спасешься бегством, завтра тебя убьют. -
І сталося тієї ночі, що Саул послав послів у дім Давида, щоб стерегти його, а вранці його вбити. Та Давидові про це сповістила Мелхола, його жінка, кажучи: Якщо ти цієї ночі не врятуєш своєї душі, то завтра будеш убитий!
