And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.

Then David went from there to Mizpah of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab, “Please let my father and mother come here with you, till I know what God will do for me.”

І пішов Давид ізвідти до Моавської Міцпи́, та й сказав до моавського царя: „Нехай при́йде батько мій та мати моя, і будуть із вами, аж поки я бу́ду знати, що́ зро́бить мені Бог“.

Оттуда Давид пошел в Мицпу, что в Моаве, и сказал царю Моава:
— Пожалуйста, позволь моим родителям прийти и побыть у вас, пока я не узнаю, что сделает для меня Бог. -
І звідти Давид пішов до моавської Массифи, і сказав моавському цареві: Хай же мій батько і моя матір будуть у тебе, аж доки не пізнаю, що вчинить мені Бог.
