Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and mistreat me.” But his armor-bearer would not, for he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword and fell upon it.

Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me.”
But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it. -

Saul groaned to his armor bearer, “Take your sword and kill me before these pagan Philistines come to run me through and taunt and torture me.”
But his armor bearer was afraid and would not do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it. -

И сказал Саул оруженосцу своему: обнажи твой меч и заколи меня им, чтобы не пришли эти необрезанные и не убили меня и не издевались надо мною. Но оруженосец не хотел, ибо очень боялся. Тогда Саул взял меч свой и пал на него.

Тоді Саул сказав до свого зброєноші: «Вийми твого меча й проколи мене, щоб не наскочили ці необрізані, не прокололи й не наругались надо мною.» Та його зброєноша не хотів, бо вельми був злякався. Тоді Саул вхопив меча та й настромився на нього.

Тодї прохав Саул свого зброєношу: Вийми з піхви меча твого та й проколи мене ним, щоб не наскочили сї необрізані, а вбивши мене, не чинили наруги надо мною. Зброєноша ж не вволив його волї, бо й собі вельми злякався, тож Саул ухопив меча та й кинувсь на його. -
І сказав Саул до свого зброєно́ші: „Витягни меча свого, і пробий мене ним, щоб не прийшли ці необрі́зані, і не пробили мене, і не знуща́лися надо мною!“ Та не хотів зброєно́ша, бо дуже боявся. Тоді взяв Саул меча, — та й упав на нього!

Саул сказал своему оруженосцу:
— Обнажи меч и заколи меня, иначе эти необрезанные придут, заколят меня и станут глумиться надо мной.
Но его оруженосец не решился сделать это, потому что очень испугался. Тогда Саул взял свой собственный меч и бросился на него. -
І сказав Саул до того, хто носить його зброю: Витягни свій меч і ним проший мене, щоб не прийшли ці необрізані, і не прокололи мене, і не кпили з мене. А той, хто носить його зброю, не хотів, бо дуже злякався. Тож Саул узяв меч і впав на нього.
