So they gathered at Mizpah and drew water and poured it out before the Lord and fasted on that day and said there, “We have sinned against the Lord.” And Samuel judged the people of Israel at Mizpah.

And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the LORD. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.

So they gathered at Mizpah and, in a great ceremony, drew water from a well and poured it out before the LORD. They also went without food all day and confessed that they had sinned against the LORD. (It was at Mizpah that Samuel became Israel’s judge.)

І зібралися до Міцпи́, і че́рпали воду та лили перед Господнім лицем, і по́стили того дня, та й казали там: „Ми згрішили перед Господом!“ І судив Самуїл Ізраїлевих синів у Міцпі́.

Собравшись в Мицпе, они черпали воду и выливали ее перед Господом. В тот день они постились и каялись:
— Мы согрешили против Господа.
И Самуил был судьей Израиля в Мицпе. -
Тож вони зібралися в Массифаті, черпали воду, виливали перед Господом на землю й постили в той день, кажучи: Ми згрішили перед Господом! І Самуїл судив ізраїльських синів у Массифаті.
