And Benaiah came to the tabernacle of the LORD, and said unto him, Thus saith the king, Come forth. And he said, Nay; but I will die here. And Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.

So Benaiah went to the tabernacle of the Lord, and said to him, “Thus says the king, ‘Come out!’ ”
And he said, “No, but I will die here.” And Benaiah brought back word to the king, saying, “Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.” -

So Benaiah entered the tent of the Lord and said to Joab, “The king says, ‘Come out!’ ”
But he answered, “No, I will die here.”
Benaiah reported to the king, “This is how Joab answered me.” -

But Joab answered, “No, I will die here.”
So Benaiah returned to the king and told him what Joab had said. -

И пришёл Ванея в скинию Господню и сказал ему: так сказал царь: выходи. И сказал тот: нет, я хочу умереть здесь. Ванея передал это царю, говоря: так сказал Иоав, и так отвечал мне.

І ввійшов Беная до Господньої скинії, та й сказав до нього: „Так сказав цар: Вийди!“ А той відказав: „Ні, я тут помру!“ І передав Беная цареві це слово, говорячи: „Так сказав Йоав, і так відповів мені“.

Беная вошел в Господень шатер и сказал Иоаву:
— Так говорит царь: «Выходи!»
Но тот ответил:
— Нет, я умру здесь.
Беная доложил царю:
— Вот так ответил мне Иоав. -
І пішов Ванея, син Йодая, до Йоава, до Господнього намету, і сказав йому: Так говорить цар: Вийди! А Йоав відповів: Не вийду, тут помру! І Ванея, син Йодая, повернувся і сказав цареві, доповідаючи: Так і так сказав Йоав і так мені відповів.
