God's Covenant with David

Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains.

После того, как Давид переселился в свой дом, он сказал пророку Нафану: "Смотри, я живу в доме, сделанном из кедрового дерева, а ковчег завета Господа стоит под шатром".

Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thine heart; for God is with thee.

Нафан ответил Давиду: "Ты можешь делать всё, что пожелаешь. С тобою Бог".

And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,

Но той же ночью было слово Божье к Нафану.

Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:

Бог сказал: "Пойди и скажи слуге Моему Давиду: Так говорит Господь: "Давид, не ты построишь Мне дом, чтобы жить.

For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.

Ибо Я не жил в доме с того дня, как вывел Израиль из Египта, и до сего дня.

Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?

Я переходил с места на место в шатре. Я выбрал людей, чтобы они были вождями для народа Израиля. Эти вожди, как пастухи, пасли Мой народ. И, куда бы Я ни ходил в Израиле, Я ни разу не сказал ни одному из этих вождей: Почему вы не построили Мне дом из кедровых брёвен?".

Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:

Теперь скажи Моему слуге Давиду: Господь Всемогущий говорит: "Я взял тебя из поля от стада овец. Я сделал тебя вождём Моего народа Израиля.

8

And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.

Я был с тобой везде, куда бы ты ни ходил. Я шёл перед тобой и истребил всех твоих врагов. Теперь Я сделаю тебя одним из самых великих людей на земле.

9

Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,

Я даю тебе место для народа Моего Израиля. Они укоренятся там и будут мирно жить на своём месте. Их не будут больше беспокоить, и нечестивые не будут причинять им зло, как прежде.

10

And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house.

Эти беды случались, но Я поставил вождей, чтобы они заботились о Моём народе, Израиле, и Я уничтожу всех твоих врагов. Я говорю тебе, что Господь построит тебе дом.

11

And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.

Когда ты умрёшь и присоединишься к своим предкам, тогда Я позволю твоему сыну быть новым царём. Новым царём будет один из твоих сыновей, и Я сделаю царство его прочным.

12

He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.

12

Твой сын построит Мне дом, и Я сделаю, чтобы семья твоего сына правила вечно.

13

I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee:

13

Я буду ему отцом, и он будет Мне сыном. Саул был царём до тебя, но Я лишил его Своей поддержки. Я никогда не перестану любить твоего сына

14

But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.

14

и поставлю его правителем над Моим домом и царством на веки вечные, и царствование его будет продолжаться вечно!"".

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

Нафан рассказал Давиду о своём видении и обо всём, что говорил Господь.

David's Prayer

And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

16

Тогда Давид пошёл в священный шатёр и сел там перед Господом. Давид сказал: "Господи Боже, моя семья и я не заслуживаем всего того, что Ты сделал для меня.

17

And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.

Кроме того, Ты позволяешь мне узнать, что произойдёт с моей семьёй в будущем. Ты относился ко мне, как к очень важному человеку.

18

What can David speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.

Что ещё могу я сказать? Ты так много сделал для меня, а я всего лишь Твой слуга, и Ты знаешь это.

19

O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.

19

Господи, Ты сделал для меня всё это великое, ибо Тебе это было угодно.

20

O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

20

Нет подобного Тебе, Господи, нет Бога, кроме Тебя. Мы не слышали ни о каком боге, который бы совершал прекрасные дела подобно Тебе!

21

And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?

Есть ли где другой народ, подобный Израилю? Нет! Израиль — единственный народ на земле, для которого Ты совершил эти прекрасные дела. Ты вывел нас из Египта и сделал нас свободными. Ты сделал Себя великим! Ты шёл перед Твоим народом и заставлял другие народы оставлять свою землю для нас!

For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.

22

Ты взял Израиль, чтобы он был Твоим народом навеки, и Ты, Господи, стал их Богом!

23

Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.

23

Господи, Ты дал это обещание мне и моему народу. Сохрани Своё обещание и сделай так, как Ты сказал!

24

Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.

Покажи, что Тебе можно доверять! И я надеюсь, что народ будет прославлять Твоё имя вечно. Люди будут говорить: "Господь Всемогущий есть Бог Израиля!". Я раб Твой! Позволь же моей семье быть сильной и продолжать служить Тебе.

25

For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.

25

Ибо Ты, Боже, говорил со мной, Своим рабом. Ты открыл мне, что Ты сделаешь мою семью семьёй царей. Поэтому я осмелился просить Тебя сделать это.

26

And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

26

Господи, Ты Бог, и Ты сам обещал сделать для меня это благо.

27

Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.

27

Господи, благослови мою семью, чтобы мы всегда могли служить Тебе, ибо когда Ты, Господи, благословляешь кого-то, тогда тот благословен навеки!"
