Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.

Давид сказал ему:
— Отдай мне свое гумно, я построю на его месте жертвенник Господу, чтобы прекратился мор среди народа. Продай его мне за полную цену. -
І Давид звернувся до Орни: Дай мені місце твого току, і я збудую на ньому жертовник для Господа. Віддай мені його за відповідну ціну, і спиниться пошесть серед народу!
